Spurs win. This Milan side is so far from anything special, and there's very little pace and width in it, something Spurs thrive on, and that's without mentioning Van der Vaart, Modric...

Kuled, in the predicted teams you've got Bale on the right, and Lennon on the left wing.

Milan are going to miss Gattuso big time here. He's been on fine form lately.

Redknapp actually swapped Bale/Lennon in a game recently...don't remember which one

Against Wolves he played them on the opposite wings.
Don't think either suit it myself, but he's the boss

Well Bale's just come back from injury, so take a guess.Luxz0rz wrote:Danny wrote:Kuled, in the predicted teams you've got Bale on the right, and Lennon on the left wing.

Spurs in normal time I reckon. Hopefully it'll be an exciting one. I'll say 3-1 to Spurs.

Really unsure about it. I have a feeling that Ibra will be outstanding and win it for Milan but I really don't know.

I can't see Milan winning this, I just don't see them coping with the pace of the game and the intensity of it. If Spurs come out all guna blazing, 100mph, exploiting the wings with Bale and Lennon, I just don't see Milan living with that. Something Rafa said last night on Sky Sports when he was part of the panel for the Barcelona Vs Arsenal game, they got chatting about Spurs and Milan game and Rafa was asked about the game and he simply said when he took his Inter there in the group stages, they couldn't cope with the pace of the game nor the intensity Spurs put them under. It's not in the italian game.
So for me, if Spurs put in a performance similar to the one against Inter, then in my opinion, it's curtains for AC.

#thfc team to face #ACMilan Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Pienaar; Van der Vaart; Crouch.
Bale on bench I think.

Milan XI: Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Jankulovski; Flamini, Seedorf, Boateng: Pato, Ibrahimovic, Robinho.
I reckon that's a 4-3-3.

Inter couldn't handle it because Rafa decided to play a suicidal high line vs. the fastest team in England, Inter went to Chelsea last year and dealt with them well. When they faced United a few years back the game wasn't to fast for them either, although they lost.

Thank god Sandro's playing, I'm not a big fan of Palacios tbh. And Sandro had a good game in the first leg.Jordi wrote:#thfc team to face #ACMilan Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Pienaar; Van der Vaart; Crouch.

Bale is on the bench:
#THFC For those asking but you'll probably know by now - Bale on the bench.

This Milan squad can do it imo. They've got pace in defence coming from Abate and Thiago Silva who's probably the fastest in the Milan team. Flamini has got the legs to track back and go forward along with Boateng who would like to prove himself again to Spurs after leaving them. The front three in Pato, Ibra and Robinho are extremely talented players. I really feel Milan can win tonight tbh, especially looking at the team they have set out. They've got no option, but to score and if they score before Spurs it will certainly be interesting.Jordi wrote:Milan XI: Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Jankulovski; Flamini, Seedorf, Boateng: Pato, Ibrahimovic, Robinho.

Imo Game will rest on whether someone is able to stay close with VDV and stop Crouch's knockdowns reaching him, also I think Modric could have a big impact
