I don't know, but in Egypt it's the other way around. Since it's technically mandatory for every male to enter the army, the army team just uses some professional players.

Egypt have expectedly booked their place in the Military World Games final with an easy 5-0 victory over Qatar to set a meeting with Algeria next week.

Goals from Nour Al-Sayed, Ahmed Mekki (twice), Shikabala and Ayman Hefni comprised the thumping win for the holders.

Algeria, on the other hand, beat hosts Brazil 3-1 on penalties to book a final place against their North African neighbors.

The Egypt military team are deemed firm favorites to retain their title, given that they are the only side in the tournament with high-profile professional from the domestic league.

Does Egypt have any actual soldiers in the team? Or 100% professionals?

Shikabala is like Egypt's best professional player and he is on the team. Shikabala is still technically on duty in the military. I'm not sure if there are any players on the team that aren't professional.
