Do you even know what a wage deferral is? As I said....his contract entitles him to £45k per week and he doesn't have to accept less, and he doesn't have to go on loan to Celtic.
Does seem a bit odd that he'd reject Celtic if he could get the same wage but oh well....can't hate him...not his fault Hull signed him up for so long
A wage defferal makes sure he still gets that 45k a week. But instead for the time being he would only get say 30k a week. Then when our financial situation gets better, we would give him ALL money owed. E.g He could get 30k a week for the first a half of the year. Then the second have he'd be on 60k a week to make it up to him.
He rejected Celtic cos he expected 30k from Hull and 45k from Celtic. We was willing to pay 30k a week while he was on loan elsewhere because we was that desperate. Celtic refused to pay 45k a week on top of that though.
No doubt, if he keeps fit and plays well and takes up the table he will be bought in January. I think that is the plan of the management now.
