No thanks. Sick of English teams.
Want to avoid: Man Utd, Arsenal, Shakhtar, Benfica. Played them too often.
Munich
Valencia
Anderlecht
Celtic
is probably our best chance.

With David Healy...
And Del Piero has had offers from us, Sion, and Sydney. The deal with Sydney is close, apparently.

Pavlyuchenko was at the game last night. 100% confirmed. Would be a brilliant signing.

100% confirmed by who? Do you have a picture?

Ignore me.
I got a text from a friend, who said he had seen a pic. I believed him, like a fud.

Of course and Lenell John Lewis.
Pavlyuchenko would be a great signing and I have always admired him as a player.
Not sure on Del Piero but he would still definitely do you a job in the SPL and Europe.

Stranger things have happened to be fair as Cardiff and Crystal Palace came very close last year in the Carling Cup and Millwall played a game against Ferencváros in the Uefa Cup in 2004.

Probably.
Two of my mates convinced me it was true, usually don't do this shit.
But there's definitely something there with Del Piero. Would be an incredible move if it happened.

Doesn't deserve one IMO.
Forster, however, should be cemented as number 2 by now. Shocking he keeps being overlooked.

As a Bristolian I love the fact Butland get's called up but I'd rather he was getting experience with the U21s.Totti wrote:Harrold wrote:I hope Hooper gets an England call-up, I really rate him.

Don't rate Ruddy at all or Green. I think you are right though, Foster is the next best thing.

Hooper does deserve a call-up. Far better than Andy Carroll and diddies like Fraizer Campbell. 5 goals from 11 European games too.

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
Great comments from Helsingborgs manager before the game
While attempting to put some doubt into the Celtic camp, the former Manchester City and Norwich City defender admitted being a fan of the Parkhead club's tradition and their supporters.
"This is one of the best places to play football in Europe and I hope the players enjoy it," said Hareide.
"These are probably the best fans in Europe and this is why football will survive, because of teams like Celtic, the fans of Celtic and the footballing tradition.
"I was brought up with it, I know it from when I played in England and I enjoyed Hampden with Norway and the way the fans reacted after we beat them.
"You never see that in the rest of the world. You see anger and bitterness and people shouting.
"So if Helsingborg can't get into the Champions League it will be good for Celtic to be there because of their fans."

EPL striker to sign on loan tomorrow, apparently.
And our plebian friends from across the city appear to have walked away tonight.

Aha good one man, didn't see that coming.
Regardless of the team I support my point is still valid. Look at the good young Scottish players celtic have missed out on in recent years due to tight fistedness, Fletcher, McFadden, McCarthy, Naismith etc. Now all are miles outside celtic's price range. The extra 500k won't make a difference to celtic's bank balance especially with increased revenue from the CL and the 5m sale of Ki.
Speculation and Accumulation my friend.

Fletcher: Lennon has since said that Petrie wasn't prepared to sell to us regardless of price.
McCarthy: worse than Ki who was fifth-choice.
McFadden: miles out of our price range? The guy was in talks with Motherwell ffs. Overrated pish.
Naismith: how do you know we were interested? As if he was ever going to come here ahead of Rangers anyway. I've seen a video of him jeering Ian Wright as a kid.
Our squad is miraculously high on quality considering it has been assembled for peanuts with our 'tight-fistedness.' I'm happy with our transfer policy.

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
I'll be proven right if Russell saunters off to Huddersfield or something and becomes a £5m+ player, don't you worry.
