Why does Stokes always seem to be in and out of the side? Everytime he plays hes scored, seems like Lennon is doubting him or something

Publicly he's been fully behind him recently saying he should be at the Euros with Ireland, but he's been in and out of the side and still hasn't started an Old Firm game since the first one last season. Much prefer him to Samaras personally.

Yeah I started noticing it in the OF, then I seen he was dropped again. Weird imo, him and Hooper over Hooper + Samaras anyday.

It's partly down to Samaras playing well, although I also prefer Stokes to partner Hooper.

13 points clear, and I have a feeling Rangers will drop points tomorrow.

Why should we say 13 instead of 23? Don't even let them moan about the 10 point deduction. They got it because they tried to win the league illegally and we should remind them of it.

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
We need more Celtic fans on the forum.
What did we make of Blackman and Lustig debuts today? I thought Blackman was terrible. Not much to shout about for Lustig either. We seemed to feel the absence of Broony in midfield as well.
Scottish Cup at Tannadice next week to look forward to

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
GARY HOOPER is so committed to Celtic he wants to become loved like Henrik Larsson.
The only way for this Essex-born strike ace for most of his time at Parkhead has been to stick the ball in the net.
Twenty-two goals last season and now 20 already this term with at least 11 games left.
Hooper's been a stunning success for Neil Lennon.
And the good news for everyone at the club is that he's got no plans to leave for a long time.
Hooper's heard all about Celtic's strike-star history — and he's set his heart on earning Larsson status.
The Magnificent 88 might not have the same ring to it.
But Hooper, 24, dreams of being idolised the same way.
He said: "I want to be one of the legendary strikers at this club. I'm not comparing me to Henrik Larsson — but I want to be up there.
"I want to score as many goals as I can for the club. I want more. Larsson scored an amazing number of goals over the years. I am happy here, to play in this team, the squad is really good.
"It shows in the games and performances this year.
"I'm here to play Champions League if I can hopefully win the SPL.
"I love everything about being up here, you can't beat it, this club is massive.
"Plus me scoring goals is helping my confidence."
Stand-in boss Stuart Pearce wasn't impressed enough by Hooper when it came to his England squad for the midweek friendly against Holland. Lennon couldn't understand that.
But if Hooper's concerned playing in the SPL will see him permanently snubbed then he hides it brilliantly.
The ex-Shorpe and Southend ace said: "I don't fear that playing up here is a problem for me.
"If you're scoring goals then you should get the chance to play international football no matter where you are playing. I've scored a few here in both seasons, so I'm going to keep going from there.
"At Southend it didn't work out for me but everywhere else I've kept on scoring. It's my job to score goals and win games. Hopefully I will get my chance.
"Maybe I thought I'd get a call-up as Stuart Pearce said he'd pick a more inexperienced team plus he picked me for the Under-21s.
"But I want to keep going, just get on with games for Celtic and score goals.
"Alan Thompson has said to me just to keep on doing what I am doing week-in, week-out, get my head down, score goals and my chance will come."
Hooper's on the cusp of history with Celtic as they eye the treble.
He added: "We don't play at home again until April, but we're good away from home.
"We play our football and we score goals.
"Away from home we've performed really well and are solid at the back.
"Maybe some teams change their tactics and sit in, but we don't do that. We just go out for the win like we do at home.
"Basically we keep the ball out the net and score down the other end. Sounds easy but it's not.
"It's good for me as a striker as we play two up top home and away — or maybe even three.
"It's good for me, Stokesy and Sami because no matter what we get good service.
"The players behind us help us a lot to get on the scoresheet. I want to win everything.
"There's no point in playing football if you don't want to be like that.
"The whole squad is like that here."

Sad news all the same. Too young to die.

COPS arrested just two football fans at matches involving the Old Firm yesterday — on the first weekend of games since tough new anti-sectarian laws were introduced.
Officers detained one 47-year-old outside Ibrox stadium during Rangers' clash with Hearts.
Another supporter was huckled out of the ground during the crisis-hit club's 2-1 defeat by the Jambos

Yes, there is people like that but if you actually read the thread instead of trying to single out Rangers, then there is a number of people who say shocking, too young to die, RIP etc. Some people have paid their respects. Also saying things like it's sad.

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
Oh I read the whole thread, it's disgusting. The majority are like the posts in the screenshot. I'm taking that screenshot off actually.
They see him as a "bitter Rangers hater" because he acted as Celtics lawyer? He also served some of Rangers players. Having an association with Celtic means they revel in his death?
Fucking need this club to die as soon as possible. It's vile.
