question on technique Empty question on technique

Post by Guest Sat Feb 12, 2011 8:27 pm

i always see people discuss this

    what is ur opinion

a player that has some good skills sometimes, but also some bad touches

    is that player "inconsistently technically"

    or

    just "bad technically"

i will use swp as example, sometimes because of his low centre, he is capable of brilliant dribbles and close control abilities, but other times he is useless and has touch of a pedophile. is he a person with in consistent technique, or just bad technique

perhaps if rooney persisted in perfecting his technique as much as your average post count per day he would be as good as pele

Sounds like Fernando Torres - his technical ability is wayyy overrated (it's shit), yet at any moment in a match he can produce a little bit of magic with a sprinkle of fairy dust

    This.
He can give the ball away so much, his touch van be poor.
He's a great striker, he has pace, he is strong, he is good in the air, he can finish.
But as a footballer there are so many better players that him.

Not technically good enough, look at the players with some of the best technique in the world, Messi, Xavi, Sneijder, Pique, Pastore, could go on and on and on and on, they rarely have a bad first touch, they are always consistent, maybe once a game you'd be like "the fuck was that" but it's rarely.

Few can score like that twice in a week, more often then not those shots are sent 30 rows far, that's consistent technique.

The key to being good at anything is consistency. Therefore SWP is shit.

Typical Scousers, neither of you would had said this if Torres was still at Liverpool.

No seriously, I've always viewed Torres like this; amazing striker - average player....what you get from Torres is moments in a match where everything is just perfect, his all round game however is far from it.

TBF Torres is all-round pretty average. But when he's on form, give him any chance and he'll smash the net.
