    but it seem you german have long way to go to catch up to MIGHTY ITALIA

    pirlo 93% passing percent in opposite half, 94% in own half

    entire german team hovered around 60-80%

    So don't you think Germany have more technical players and a better style of play than they did 12 years ago Mauro? They didn't do very well in Euro 2000 or World Cup 98'.

    I think their efforts in Youth development should be applauded. They have a generation of highly technically competent players coming through, who arguably are better with the ball than their predecessors. Future looks good for Germany.

    Novi , that isn't true, but this is still a shit thread .

    The Bundesliga's stature is rising while people think less and less of Serie A . Italy's fantastic run in this tournament is down to form and great coaching . Both are nations of great pedigree, Germany's investment will pay off somewhere down the line , but pedigree is more important (look at Brazil) . Comparing Pirlo to
    the German players is futile anyway

    no i agree germany have improve infact im a fan of germany and where they are now compare to 12 years ago. they have many technical players and style of play is good but they still have many long way to go to match italy
