Surely, out of the 104,000 people in Tonga - there has to be someone better than that.

Well, this is the U-17 championships and Tongoans are more interested in Rugby so they would be hard pushed tbh.

Just stick one of them rugby fuckers in, they'd do a better job.

The Oceanic Champions League is just starting to heat up! The group stage has two games left and no one is in the semifinals and no one has been eliminated either! Here is the link to follow all of this excitement.

He is 5 foot 4 and he will break your jaw. Henry Fa'arodo, also the only Island player to play professional football (Perth Glory, A-League).

It was another come back match for KOSSA FC as they opened the Telekom S-league's round four match with their second straight win against Hana FC 3-1 yesterday.

Two goals from futsal sensation Micah Lea'alafa and one from Jack Samani was enough for KOSSA to claim their second straight win.

All three goals were registered in the first half.

Hana regained some pride in the second half keeping KOSSA scoreless and had one on their score sheet by Joe Manu from a free kick that was seen as the most classic goal of the match.

Hana in the first half wasted a spot kick by Godwin Bebeu which was saved by KOSSA keeper Silas Seda.

However after the ninety minutes of full time play the win was in question.

This was after KOSSA made a substitute for their goal keeper Silas Seda who was later reported that his name had not been registered with the team since the start of the S-league.

KOSSA players were obviously not happy with confusion that has affected their win.

A win for them will see them both at second top of the table with seven points, but if the final decision rules otherwise then they remain at the bottom of the table.

Players said that Seda's name was on the original list and did not have any idea what happened that his name accidently got lost.

According to the Games Commissioner Samson Faisi, the matter will be dealt with later.

He said the situation has gone beyond their power and will be passed on for the S-league's Disciplinary Committee to deal with before making any final decision.

O’league rep Koloale FC ended their second game with excellent result when thrashing KOSSA FC 7-2.

Koloale opened the scoring galore four minutes into the first half by Lency Saeni.

Ian Paia scored twice followed by a hat trick by Benjamin Totori and a finishing touch by Mostyn Beui to contribute to their second win at Lawson Tama.

Paia had scored his first two goals in the first match against Hana and continued his excellent to double a goal at 9th and 13th minute.

KOSSA with the likes of striker Clifford Wate upfront and George Wagina, Stanton Hila at the back maintained their game style for about 30 minutes before Koloale captain Benjamin Totori broke the strategy scoring his fist goal of the Telekom S-league from a spot kick to give Koloale a 4-0 lead.

Hyped from his first goal he got lucky again in the last minute before the half time whistle bagging his second and the team’s fifth from a deflected ball by KOSSA keeper Severino Aefi.

Both teams went into the dressing room with scores locked at 5-0.

KOSSA came back in the second have with more in their minds as to how they are to level in score with Koloale.

Beautiful crosses were made by Captain Seni Ngava but the finishing part did not go well for the men in gold.

Two quick goals at the end of the second half gave KOSSA some pride when striker Clifford Wate hammered home his third S-league goal followed by a goal by James Egeta also set by Wate in the dying seconds before full time.

The win gives confident for Koloale in their next O’league match against defending champions Hekari FC next week.

At the start of the season Koloale had four goals, with this match it adds up to a total of 11 goals with a goal difference of 9.

The win gave Koloale 6 clear points and which they now lead in the Telekom S-league table.

That gave Koloale side a big score margin in their race at Telekom S-league.

KOSSA remains at fifth spot with one point.

Koloale will play Hekari on February 26.

A high delegation of government ministers and officials are likely to attend today’s clash between Amical FC of Vanuatu and Koloale FC of Solomon Islands at the Lawson Tama Stadium.

The Solomon Islands football Federation (SIFF) yesterday confirmed that they have given out invitation.

The delegation includes the Head of State, the Governor General Sir Frank Kabui, Prime Minister Danny Philip and government ministers.

SIFF media officer Joseph Boso stated that the reason being for the invitation was because the government for the past O’league matches played, has shown good support for the O’league teams.

Boso went to say that many of the government officials are sports interested people with some football themselves.

“There are government officials who are into sports and are footballers themselves,” he said.

“This is also a reason why we (SIFF) decided to invite them.”

The invitation will give them the opportunity to watch live and witness the match which will showcase some of the Solomon Islands players’ talents.

It will be an interesting match since the Amical team will be displaying the talents of its Solomon Islands very own talents.
The match is set to kick off at 3pm today at the Lawson Tama Stadium

    I think so too.

    ---------------------------------------

Koloale FC remains undefeated after winning its second to the last match of round one of the Telekom S-league against Western United 3-2 at the Lawson Tama Stadium yesterday.

It was, as expected a blistering performance by the two teams as they battle each other in the raging sun yesterday afternoon.

The match kicked off on a very high note with both teams looking for an early opener.

It was obvious from the start that it was any body’s game.

Both teams have also had their key defenders missing, Takayama for Koloale and John Iani for United.

Having equal share of ball possession and goal attacking, Western United was the first to manage and secured the first goal of the match when a mishandled ball by Gideon Omokirio found the waiting John Anita who made no mistake hammering it into the net for United 32 minutes after kick off time.

Koloale’s equaliser came by George Suri in the 41th minute of the first half, enough for the former O’league reps to regain their pace after it dropped a little from Anita’s goal.

The equaliser came from a well taken free kick outside the box and a little deflects by Fa’arodo that gave Koloale the chance to level with United.

The score of 1-1 remained until the half time whistle sounded.

The second half was more like the first with both teams showcasing their strength in every position of the field searching for the winning goal.

Koloale captain Totori extended the lead nine minutes into the second half from a brilliant individual break.

United still maintain its playing composure almost equalised a minute later by Makau from a header but Ramoni who was alert at all times was there to make the save.

Nathan Kera came barging into the penalty area where he received a well placed cross missed yet another chance when send the ball hovering over the cross bar.

Koloale through the boots of Captain Totori got their third goal in the 67th minute from a low but strong shot which United’s keeper Felix Ray Junior was seconds late to make the save.

A minute later Nathan Kera scored United’s second when he picked up a spilled ball from a front goal scramble bagging United’s second goal.

United kept on coming back harder looking for the equaliser but lost a little hope when defender Sae was sent out after receiving two yellow cards.

Despite playing with 10 players United maintained their play until the final whistle.

The win puts Koloale on a comfortable top seat of the S-league table with 18 points from six wins and Western United still running second with 13 points.

Meanwhile in the day’s second match, Solomon Warriors thrashed Real Kakamora 4-1.

Peter Kennedy of Real kakamora was a more happy man after scoring the first ever goal for kakamora since the league kicked off two months ago.

He is also entitled to the one thousand dollar cash prize pledged by the Kakamora president Sam Rahii for the first person who scores the opening goal for Kakamora despite a win or lose.

The next catch up match between Koloale and Real Kakamora will be played on Wednesday.
