Will two man attack work for Chelsea?

Seriously I don't see how Drogba and Torres can fit, everyone says play the good ol' 442 but when was the last time Ancelotti used 442? Chelsea usually play with 3 forwards or wingers? I don't think the 442 will work for Chelsea. These days you don't see big clubs with super strikers with similar styles...If Chelsea do play 442, how will their midfield look?

Torres loves playing the lone forward, and plays shit when he has a second striker.

Don't know. I'll be following Chelsea's matches now though so see how it works.

Interesting to see how Ancelloti tries to fit everyone in. Don't think 2 up top will be that effective at 1st.

That narrow diamond was one of the best Chelsea formations, the one with Lampard behind the forwards and a tucked in right midfielder which will probably be Ramires if Chelsea do play that. Kinda like what Benfica plays with.

He can play a slanted version of the 4-3-3. Torres can play narrow on the left with Cole given the responsibility to provide width.

Really I thought that was pretty bad

I don't see how a standard 4-1-1-2-2 would be too bad tbh

Play 2 up front against the the bottom 14 teams in the PL. Play 1 up top all other times, whoever is on form plays as the 1.

Only weakness of the diamond was its narrowness. Teams could just defend really eight and compact and we were stuck in midfield

And to Rei: Torres on the left is pretty much waste, maybe if it was a player like VP or Rooney.

We started to hit bad form in November/December with the diamond. Tried a 4231 before January. Then when Drogba went to ACN we went back to 433 and hit top form..

Not results wise though, only loss was against City and you didn't do that bad just a couple of draws.
