Anyways, she was pulled from the match so that the focus of the game would be on the teams and players, and not her. Makes sense, unfortunately.

Her getting dropped has nothing to do with her performance in the last match.

I agree, the only thing which should matter is how good they are at refereeing. It's like saying you'd turn down a really good black ref, pretty stupid.

It's silly. Plus there are more important things to fix in the game.. not reduce sexism.

We still don't have goal-line technology yet the world has gone into meltdown over a women commentator and two people off-air making comments. The media has just made an example out of Gray, it's silly, and a hint of espionage on the behalf of the Daily Mail, if he'd said it on air, then fine, but I bet if we got what every presenter in the land said behind the scenes, there wouldn't be many left.

Also, you've seen one good game from a women official. If they consistently out-perform the males then maybe you have a case. But for now leave it as is, and introduce camera replays into the game. Wiping out human-error, which everyone is prone to, not like women are invincible to it.

Reduce sexism? what? Because she is adequate enough to ref the "mens game" should she not ref because men make sexist comments? It's silly?

Goal line technology is another different matter altogether. Nothing to do with women refereeing the game.

So, let me get this right. Women can referee if they prove they can ref games better than men, but they aren't allowed the chance to do so?

I have absolutely no problem. We've got female fans, female pundits, female physios, female members in the boardroom, even some female coaches. Nothing wrong with it for me.

But, I've not got the opinion on women as people did in the 50's.
