No, it would mean Ipswich beat Arsenal over two legs....the pitch can't be blamed...the crowed can't be blamed and you can't blame "negative" (i.e. smart) tactics either.

If to get any respect you have to play "nice football" then fuck respect I'll take the result any day. If it doesn't win you the game then it's not good enough, and if Arsenal lose to a team like Ipswich over two legs it shows that being big headed and paying no attention to how Ipswich play and just doing your own thing will not always pay off.

Ipswich are playing winning football....you cannot expect them to go out 4-4-2, push high up the pitch and try and score.....hell even in the first leg at home when they weren't a goal up on aggregate that would be stupid.....no way they'd do it now. That is because if Ipswich play Arsenal's game they'll lose....but so what? Football isn't about copying Arsenal, it's about beating them. If Arsenal don't pay Ipswich respect and don't play winning/play good then that's their fault not Ipswich's.

No such thing as "negative tactics" in the way you mean it. It's winning or losing football.....and Ipswich are playing sensible, tactical, clever football and showing Arsenal up so far.

I don't see anything wrong with putting 8 men behind the ball and hoofing it scratch

If you were taking a 1-0 aggregate lead to the Emirates as a smaller club, you would do exactly the same.

1-0 to "rugby" i.e. football that elitists don't like.

No it wouldn't. It would just mean that Ipswich got to the final using very negative tactics.
All that matters is the final result, you wouldn't be complaining that much if you got to the final doing the same thing.

I wouldn't exactly be proud of it and then say that we deserved it for out playing all the opposition.

Exactly. What the fuck else would anybody have them do? Throw three strikers out there and go total football as if they're Barcelona. They're doing what they have to do to give themselves the best chance to win. And they also should get credit for winning 1-0 at home, thus giving them the luxury to park it. Everybody blasts Mourinho and Inter for the way they played in the Camp Nou leg against Barcelona but people forget that they played great at home, won 3-1 and earned the right to play negative.

    Haha.

Anyway, Arsenal fans... Don't be mad. Ipswich came to the KC and played for a 0-0 draw and 10 men behind the ball. It was only Koren who scored a scorcher to win the game for us.

10 bucks says we'd play Arshavin and Bendtner on the wing in the final as well, so basically we'll have to pray that playing 9 men against Blackpool isn't suicide. Arsenal v Ipswich - Page 5 284837

If football is so much about winning then why are they playing so defensively with little attacking output. It was the same in the 1st leg, sit back with 9 men behind the ball and hoof it up field and hope for the best, nothing really clever about it is their?

The ironic thing is that Arsenal should the exact same thing to Barcelona that Ipswich is doing to them, but Wenger is either too naive or too arrogant, or both, to do it because he'll think they're capable of playing football with Barca and they'll get run off the pitch just like they did last year.

Its Wengers fault is we lose this. Absolute fuckin joke, easiest chance of winning something, and we lose to Ipswich (No offence) but playing people like Bendtner, Arshavin and Denilson who are all a pile of wank right now, doesn't help. Arsenal v Ipswich - Page 5 73365

Ipswich obviously aren't outplaying Arsenal if they can only complete 50% of their passes and only have a quarter of the possession.
