I can't remember many Italian youths at the moment scratch

We were linked with Marco Verratti a year ago I think... Don't know if that was us though.

Maybe I'm missing the point but that player doesn't look very good at all. Fast, but for 18 he's way too lacking generally.

Borini IMO has the potential too be the next Inzaghi type striker.

Ancelotti just has some personal hatred for him though Dry Smile

Probably wants him out so he can bring his bumchum Pato in. Not that I'm complaining if he came shifty

Petrucci's been unlucky with his injurys but Gerrard & others missed a lot of football at this age so It might not be that bad.
He's back doing some training now as well.

you are missing the point if FM ratings are your barometer for players you are unaware of.

when i used to play CM andy Marshall became a mainstay in the England net!

Isaac Okoronkwo, Ibrahim Said, Emanuel Olisadebe & Johan Elmander all won World Player of the year! and all played for Wolves. Taribo West was World Class on it and Julius agahowa (sp?) was amazing!

i think Mal was just showing that he'd signed Ismail is all.

Back to young english midfield...it would be nice to see them playing something like this:

    Huddlestone - Rodwell
    Albrighton - Wilshere - Moses

I know that FM is unpredictable/unrealistic at times.

I've seen it all.....Emile Mpenza used to be the guy who lead me to European glory on CM 01/02 Laughing

well in real life, you can ask any Wolves fan and they will tell you that Zeli Ismail is hot property and the hype surrounding him is unprecedented in a youth team which in recent years has developed Robbie Keane, Jolean Lescott & Matt Murray. Murray is probably the best product of the academy to date - his injuries prevented him from fulfilling his potential as the best GK in England!

more recent than Alan Sunderland or Peter Knowles!

it's not presumptuous at all. anyone who ever saw him play would assume it to be true!

I only put Moses because he has pace, technical abilities and gives something different that just crossing. But I forgot about Sturridge who is simply a monster so yeah he will easily take over that spot.

    Huddlestone - Rodwell
    Albrighton - Wilshere - Sturridge.

For striker, Nathan Delfouneso looks a bright talent, perfect target man with pace and good shot. Was watching him play against Birmingham couple of weeks ago and his link up play was very good and he seems like a true poacher.

I don't get what the deal is with Delfouneso, almost every time I've watched him play he was just a ghost and contributed nothing.

Carrol is beast, but I think he's limited. If Wilshere is going to be played deep in midfield in the 4231 then Delfouneso is a better option but if Wilshere is pretty much like the second striker then Carroll is a good choice.

Pace, pace pace compared to Delf. And Delfouneso plays for Aston Villa.
