    I find it hard to take in that this happened SIX whole months ago.

    It's made me realise how quickly the last 6 months have just flown by me.

    Another thing that makes me realise how quickly time goes by, is the fact that Istanbul was 6 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.

    I have to say though, the most shocking thing for me, the one event that truly makes me feel as if life is just fading away too quickly is that fact that 9/11 happened in 2001. Ten bloody years ago. I also remember that like it was yesterday.

    10 years from now I will be 31 years old.

    Frightening.

    Are there any events in football (or not football) that make you realise how quickly life flies by?

    2006 World Cup seems like yesterday. I went there for the Portugal game in the fan fest at Gelsenkirchen

    Istanbul also seems not long ago, I remember exactly where I was; in my hotel room in Mexico at about 2pm on 25th May Neutral Best game I have ever watched.

    Also, last season for Forest, makes it seem like our time in League 1 was so long ago. In just 1 year we became relegation candidates in the Championship to favourites for promotion.

    I don't think the past 10 years has flown by, although it has been a pretty amazing 10 years for all Hull fans.


    I remember coming home to 9/11. I walked in and just asked my mum what she was watching. She told me nothing and to go outside, so I just sat down and watched it cos I thought it was a film. Time goes by so quickly these days .. 70955 I managed to see the 2nd tower get hit.

    I don't think I even watched the Istanbul final....

    and 9/11 didn't really bother me. Might sound harsh etc but that's life...more people than that lose their lives every day. Guessed that a lot of shit would ensue but again....little to do with me. The wars of Afghanistan/Iraq haven't changed my life a lot. Was actually quite bored of it taking up TV space for so long, and then when people kept bringing it up every year I wasn't annoyed but again it has little effect on me....don't see why it's so significant in comparison to everything else terrible that happens.

    Also the me being too young thing doesn't float with me either.....maybe it's not an insult or w/e but it's not to do with that. There's been times where life has gone by quickly for me...

    Everything feels fine in relation to how long it was from this moment to me, being "boring" has nothing to do it. A lot of shit happens over the years, if major football events are all you can remember, then you're boring.

    9/11 was ages ago, I still went to school in Brooklyn, and had pokemon games in my pocket. That's how I know that shit happened like a lifetime ago Laughing

    Even USA - England in the WC seems like it was a while ago.
