The only way you blame the players is if there is a lack of effort. But I haven't seen that from Liverpool. They appear to be trying as hard as they can. They just don't have the quality right now.

He's been frustrated. But I don't think he hasn't been trying or doesn't care. I think sometimes he sees futility in a situation and that manifests itself in a way that makes it appear as though he's not trying.

The problems lie far deeper than Fernando Torres, Torres has still got his touch we've seen him finish off a couple of chances brilliantly in recent weeks, he can't just run everywhere.. he's not Tevez, it's not his style.
If he's playing for a good team no one would talk about his work ethic because he'd get chances and tuck them away, I don't think Torres has ever had high work ethic running everywhere but Liverpool used to provide him with chances.
Only since Roy Hodgson has he gone a bit weird.. Kenny Dalglish's first league game and Torres scored, reckon he'll be fine with someone who can use tactics properly.
