Maicon is rubbish tbh, Rafael had Bale in his pocket, Brown came on and done the same.

He's actually pretty good when he plays for England though.
Alan Hansen? Is that you?
For someone who can't defend to save his life, he's done a good job to play RB for clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and make himself the number one RB for England.
What other RB's do England have? Apart from Micah Richards of course.
As i said before, Johnson is great at going forward, but he's vunerable at the back.
Did you watch the Blackburn game?
Oh wow. One game, he must be crap. Torres didn't score, so he must be rubbish and Stevie missed a penalty, so he must be crap too.
He's not vulnerable at the back at all, he's a good defender, it's just he's a very good attacker, so it outshines his defending. Don't listen to the crap they spout about him on the BBC/ITV/Sky whatever, none of them have a clue. Hansen's slating a squad that he tipped for the title last season. They're all clueless.

Indeed, i actually think that Johnson would be more suited to playing RM then RB.

Nope.Dan wrote:SheldonCooper wrote:United cashed in on Ronaldo and they're not doing too bad.Dan wrote:Who would want to join a team that's just sold it's two best players?
Losing Gerrard and Torres would have a bigger impact on us, than United selling Ronaldo would have on them.

Tbh, he was probably laughing too hard at the fact that Wes Brown was actually a Man United player to do anything..

So 1st goal for Blackburn...centre backs are miles out of position but it's Johnson's fault?
2nd goal...Kyrgiakos gets turned but it's Johnson's fault?
3rd goal...Skrtel gets roasted but it's Johnson's fault?

I have watched Johnson plenty of times. He has been very vulnerable at the back Dan.

Whatevs. He was a key part of a side that conceded the third lowest amount of goals last season, in a team that finished 7th.
He's not that bad at all.

No he wouldn't. Fucking shit logic. One of the most annoying things to me is people that think attacking fullbacks will be better as wingers.

If Brown went to Liverpool he'd get in the starting 11 as a CB partnering Agger.Dan wrote:kyro7 wrote:Maicon is rubbish tbh, Rafael had Bale in his pocket, Brown came on and done the same.

The only fullback that would be alot better on the wings is Marcelo, and Bale of course even though he isn't a fullback anymore. I agree on it being a shit logic though, I don't even know why I said fullback, they're wing-backs

I'm not saying that he shouldn't play in RB, Johnson is great at linking up with the midfield.

How would he be more suited to playing in midfield though? Overlapping as a right back is his best attribute, exploiting the space behind the defence using his burst of pace. He wouldn't get that as a winger. He's relatively skillful but it's way easier for a fast player to take on a man coming from deep than from a standing start.

Hmmm...maye you're right.
Johnson would be fucking class if he could defend better.

I think the problem with Johnson is that he's kind of the icing on the cake. Same with Alves. If you put Alves in Johnson's place right now he'd look absolutely terrible because our centre backs aren't covering probably, aswell as the lack of a Busquets/Mascherano to fill in while he bombs on.

Its the kind of attitude at the moment that they need to demolish the current team then start over.. via Gerrard and Torres.
Realistically though they have one of the best strikers and midfielders in the world, if another club bought the 2 together it would improve their squad alot, not ruin it.
Its the players around them that need to be replaced, if they were all as good as those 2 they would be a brilliant team.
