TBH from what I've seen is Man Utd are the ones making more chances. If anyone's going to score in the second half it's going to be Man Utd.kyro7 wrote:Okay, first half.
We've been shite, not sure if we've had more of the ball before Gerrard was off, but even if we did we didn't use it as well as Liverpool, they have been the better team with 11 men imo, only thing to separate us was a poor decision from Webb to give the penalty.
Red card was a red card though, poor Challenge from Gerrard, we need to get a second because Liverpool could still come back, whether we win or not it wont make a difference because it'll just be Webb blah blah blah, we'll get no credit for it and rightly so, just want to see us in the next round.

His agression makes it a derby, now it's just a kick-around with a load of foreigners, not really anyone who was born and bred in that area and understands the rivalry.
Overall: Seen 3 games of Howards this year, he has been utter shite in all of them, on a downward spiral since the Final.
Yeah but you now have a Dutchy carrying the team on.
This is Kelly's first Derby?
He's going to be nervous if anything.

That's the problem - refs have no consistency. I'm pretty sure everyone (bar the Dutch. ) thought that Holland should have got at least 3 red cards in that match.El_indian wrote:de Jong tackle on Xabi's all good but Stevie can't get that? FFS

They're saying that the assistant didn't give the penalty?

I have no sound on, im guessing Big Sam is saying
"Stonewall penalty, definite red. United have dominated. Fergie? nomnomnom."

Yeah I'm confused as well, earlier the commentators said Webb was waiting for the linesman to give it.Cameron_LFC wrote:They're saying that the assistant didn't give the penalty?

He says Liverpool have an 'argument' about the penalty.

Tbh, chances are, he'd take you.
I'd catch him and ask for a ransom... Brazilians have a lot of stamina though

Seeing the penalty decision - I thought it was a clear dive but it was a stupid tackle to try to make when Berbatov's heading towards the goal line anyway. You can't blame the ref for missing that and it did seem hard for the linesman but he [the linesman] should probably still have made the right call anyway.

All I can say is, awful decision for penalty, correct decision for sending off.
I can understand Liverpool fans going mad.
Don't know why Agger stuck his leg in though.

Shame about the penalty decision (wrong) and Gerrard's red card (right), because Man U are actually playing rubbish so if it was 0-0, 11v11 I'd give Liverpool every chance of winning!

Still don't see how Rafael's was perfectly fine, but Gerrard's was a red card
Both were 2 footed, both went off the ground. So if Gerrard gets a red, Rafael should have too...

Well i was wrong it was a wreckless tackle and i cant argue with it i never got a real look at it when i saw it first time i thought he only went in with one foot but his other leg and foot arrived and i was like two footed, years ago you might have got away with it but sorry Stevie Gerrard cant argue with it

Liverpool need to get the ball out wide.. is Babel or Johnson on the bench? They need width and pace.

He was waiting for the signal from Fergie
Hope Kenny has a word with torres at half time, get him moving. Tell Maxi to stop shooting with his back to the goal and tell Kelly and Kuyt to whip it in instead of passing it around the box

Hmm, though Rafael done well and didn't make contact with the player, but I didn't see the replay because I wasn't looking after the red was just given, so I can't say.Jamie wrote:kyro7 wrote:All I can say is, awful decision for penalty, correct decision for sending off.

Rafael looked like he pulled out of the tackle; Gerrard went in full force. TBH it should have been a yellow for Rafael.Jamie wrote:kyro7 wrote:All I can say is, awful decision for penalty, correct decision for sending off.

And the thing is, it ALWAYS goes in your favour, doesn't it? We never get soft penalties from you. Last season you got a pen against us when the foul was debatably outside the box.
Can you even remember the last time Liverpool got a bullshit decision against Man United?
Probably not.
What about the other way round? You could think of SEVERAL.

Rafael made no contact with Meireles, won the ball cleanly, and Rafael pulled out of it. Gerrard jumped straight in and made contact with Carrick, didn't even win the ball.
