2011 AFC Asian Cup

The 2011 AFC Asian Cup finals will be held in Qatar in 7th-29th January 2011. It will be the fifteenth time the tournament has been held, and the second time it has been hosted by Qatar, the other being the 1988 AFC Asian Cup. Iraq are the defending champions of the AFC Asian Cup.

Kilkenny is at this tournament for the Aussie's, hope he gets some decent game time, his passing ability is lovely.

kilkenny was play against uae in friendy and showing good passing skills and technicals

Good good, he's more technical than our other players and that sometimes causes the fans to get on his back. Could be another reason why England isn't as technical as other nations.

What James said is true here in Leeds too, fans get frustrated when the ball isn't moving forwards all the time and often jeer if it goes backwards.

It makes much more sense to play in triangles though, players like Kilkenny do this but then other players are incapable.

I would say South Korea and Australia are the favorites. But the way Australia played against Egypt and lost 3-0, I don't see them as favorites. South Korea for me.

Under Olger Hosieck we have become far more attacking I think. We're taking this one much more seriously than the previous one. I expect us to at least make the semi finals.

I voted South Korea. Japan and Australia will be the main threats to them I think.
