Best and worst moments of 2010

For you, what are your best and worst moments of 2010 (football wise)


Mine are -

Best in order

Bullard winner at Sheff Utd on boxing day. It doesn't matter that it was him, I now remember what it feels like to score a winner in the last minute of added time.
Allams taking over.
Cairneys free kick at Norwich effectively ending our 30 match unwinning streak away from home.

Worst in order

Scunthorpe scoring a last minute winner at the KC. Proper heartbreaking that one.
Losing 4-1 at home to Burnley who hadn't won away all season till then.
Boateng coming out and blaming everyone except himself for our relegation.
Relegation.. Not really too fussed about it because after the club had been done over by a southern twat there was no chance of us competing the season after but it still was bad.

FA Cup exit to Leeds

Best:
Winning the double

Worst:
Sacking Ray Wilkins
November-December

Best - The last minute derby wins
Winning the Carling cup
Berbatovs great hatrick v Liverpool


Worse -
Losing to Leeds in the FA Cup
Going out of the CL to Bayern Munich, on away goals
Losing to Chelsea at home which cost us the league.

Best -

Everything else.

Best
- Home form; unbeaten at home for the whole year
- Beating West Brom 3-1 away from home, Majewski scored a banging volley
- Securing a place in the Play Offs by finishing 3rd
- Lewis McGugan's bangers against Ipswich, Watford, Boro and Cardiff
- Signing a player of Ramsey's quality
- Forest 5-2 Direby; retaining the Brian Clough Trophy

Worst
- Away form, only 3 away wins in 2010
- Losing to Derby once and Leicester twice
- Losing to Blackpool in the Play Offs
- Lack of transfer activity in the summer

Best

1) Finally winning a derby
2) Beating Man Utd and then Chelsea in back to back weeks
3) Doing the double over Man City (cunts)
4) Outplaying Arsenal at the Emirates but only getting a draw due to 2 deflected goals

Worst

1) Still no investment
2) Having lost the same amount of games as Arsenal and Chelsea but still lingering in 11th because of countless dour draws

Best
- 6-4 vs Leeds.
- The Board sacking Ferguson
- Hume signing

Worst
- 3-4 vs Burnley when we were 3-1 up with 5 minutes to go.
- Buying Craig Morgan for £400k
- The board keeping Ferguson past his due departure

Best:
- Cup victory
- Beating Lyngby
- Beating FCK in PARKEN
- Beating OB out
- This celebration

Worst:
- Sale of Bille for only €1,5 M - not enough
- Being destroyed 0-4 by Midtjylland in 20 minutes.
- Being destroyed by OB at home
- Losing againt Lyngby

Best:

- opening of RBA
- debuts of Agudelo, Ream, Henry, and Marquez
- Hans!
- winning the Atlantic Cup


Worse:
-Seeing Angel and Petke go
-Lack of a MLS Cup.... again

And Donovan's winner versus Algeria, Dempsey's and Bradley's equalizers.

Highs-

Staying up last season with a very late surge of good wins vs Reading and Coventry.

Thrashing Millwall, QPR (and last season) and Cardiff.

Gaining from recognition for once and all the pundits eating their words.

Lows-

Last season was a shocker generally.

Missing the Cardiff game ....best win of the season and the only game I missed so far.

England

Best:

Lech Poznan's run in Europe
Wisla Krakow 4 - 0 Legia Warszawa

Worst:

Everything else.

Best:

JPT win at Wembley.
Heskey's good run of form.
Scoring 14 in 3 games.

Worst:
Markus Liebherr's death.
Losing 4-1 to Portsmouth
Pardew's Affair.

The Best:
vs AC Milan.

The Worst:
vs Bayern.

BEST

- Beating West Brom in the League Cup Quater-final.


WORST

- Losing 4-1 to Norwich.

The best:
Beating city in injury time 2 times! (yes 2 we are talking about the best of 2010 )
Winning the league cup
Trashing milan 4-0


The worst
The leeds game
Going 3-0 up against bayern and still get knocked out of the European cup.
Losing the league to chelsea

Best:
Winning promotion on the last day of the season when a couple of other teams could of. We also had 10 men and were a goal down at half time.
Beating the scum at Shit Trafford.
Signing some of the players.
Ending the year on a 10 game unbeaten run which hopefully continues in 2011.

Worst:
Fucking up a massive lead to end up second by a massive lead.
Losing 6-4 to Preston although at 4-1 everyone knew it was still game on.
Losing 5-2 to Barnsley when we took 6,700 to Oakwell.
Drawing our last two games even though we had a two goal lead in both of them.

Blackburn's best:
-Carling Cup semi-final, the epic 6-4 at Villa Park. We played some smashing football and scored a couple of cracking goals. Must look up the highlights of that game.

-Drawing with Chelsea/Man. United & beating Arsenal at home.

-Finishing 10th on a shoe-string budget.

-From my own point of view i enjoyed putting the Big Sam slammers in their box because of the results he was producing for us.

Blackburn's worst:

-Our away record under Big Sam wasn't the best. But because of our immense home form it didn't really affect us.

-Venky's takeover and the sacking of Big Sam. Need i say any more? It has caused unrest amongst the squad, turned our club into a joke, brought instability etc etc etc.

Best;

NESV takeover.
Torres wearing the Liverpool scarf after World Cup win.
Beating Chelsea 2-0. Torres' two fantastic goals.
Reina stating his loyalty to the club.
NESV live phone in.
Lucas + Meireles partnership.
Famous win at Bolton.

Worst;

England's World Cup campaign.
Roy Hodgson + Poulsen + Konchesky
Losing to Everton.
Losing to Man United.
Getting thrashed by Man City.
Losing at home to Blackpool, Wolves and Northampton.
Reina's blunder that costed us 2 points against Arsenal.
Losing Mascherano + Aquilani
Torres' inconsistent form.
Losing Gerrard to a long term injury.
Torres' niggling injuries.
Despicable away record.

And the list goes on ...

Best: Rooney

-getting to the semi finals of the Carling cup

-only winning 1 away game in 2010

Best
Burton Albion 5-6 Cheltenham. Burton Albion scored in the 86th minute to make the score 5-3 to them and we then went onto score 3 injury time goals to win. Best game I've ever seen.

Knowing we dont have to watch Martin Allen's team after being sacked for relagating us, getting pissed in a night club, pulling his trousers down in a pub, allegedely calling a bouncer a "black bastard", bankrupting the club, sacking our coaching staff, arguing with the clubs physio, and throwing our player wih a broken wrist back onto the pitch whilst down injured

Ex club captain Mark Yates being appointed as manager and stabalising and building a decent squad for this season.


Worst

Last season was absoloutely terrible. Cup defeats in the 1st round of every competition and the dreaded near drop to the BSP.

Best -

Beating Man U at Old Trafford
Taking Tottenham to a replay after a last minute penalty.
Getting promoted!

Worst -

Gradel very nearly costing us that promotion...
Wheels well and truly coming off the wagon after the Cup win.
Losing 6-4 at home to Preston, and 5-2 away at Barnsley.
