Will Chelsea go the way of Liverpool ?

Or will they bounce back and challenge for the title ?

Personally I don't think they'll become a mid table team but nothing more than a top 4 spot tbh.

Chelsea have more quality than Liverpool.

I'm not putting my neck on the line either way...it's too hard to say where Chelsea's season will lead them...anything could happen.

I think they will pick up points even when they're not playing that well...Arsenal played good football and losing them to away isn't that bad......

No. Not as bad, nowhere near as bad.

However, the league is fading away from us with every game, and Champions League football is slowly starting to look like a struggle to get this season.

They've got to needlessly sack a very good manager and replace him with a crap one first.

Then perhaps Chelsea will do a Liverpool for a season.

But they won't do it for consecutive seasons. They'll get their shit sorted out eventually.

I remember back in the 08/09 season. Liverpool were massive title contenders, how times have changed. Shame they didn't win it that season.

I think they might if Ancelotti gets sacked. If they don't sign some decent players who have a good five to ten years ahead of them then they will be in major trouble when their older players start to retire.

Looking back at our team I think that second place was about right.

Youth's looking fairly shit and Abramovic doesn't want to spend 30m+ on players each so that's not going to buy you any world class players realistically especially if they're young. Eventually they could but we're talking a good 3+ years here

Statistically, teams finish in a similar position they are in on the 'wage table'. The biggest wage bill usually wins the league etc. We had the 5th highest wage bill and came 2nd. Last year, we had the 6th highest and came 7th.

They are not shit, but they are all prospects and not good enough to start. You either have great veteren players or young prospects not good enough yet. Look at the young players at United - Rafael, Anderson, Chicarito.. all starting quality. Arsenal - Whole first 11 adds up to 4 years old.
