On what steaming pile of illogical nonsense are you basing the conclusion that Poznan would "match" Liverpool? Poznan is 11th in a 16 team Polish league while Liverpool (in one of its worst seasons in a long time) is 9th in the 20 team Premiership and cruised through the group stages of Europa. Surely, you agree that the Polish league is not as tough as the Premiership, right? At least show some sanity on that point.
Lech Poznan were champions of Poland last season.
They had a rough start to the season, yes, but their manager has been sacked for Bakero (Who is a far superior manager than Zielinski. Probably best coaching in Poland.)
Lech as a team is still IMO one step above all others ATM in Poland. They will be back to the top 5 when the season restarts in Spring, and possibly run away as champions for all I know.
It's funny, you must've thought you got me there.
Anyway, Lech beat Man City, Juventus and tied the other leg with Juve. I rate Manchester City much higher as a team than Liverpool, plus Liverpool has flopped soo many times against 'smaller' clubs lately, that I would not be surprised if Lech beat Liverpool convincingly.
Polish teams are not utter shit. Our best teams are comparable to lower-mid table EPL sides, and our mid table sides comparable to bottom table EPL and top half Championship sides. Atleast I think in terms of player quality they are. (Our 3rd world coaching makes us suffer alot when playing abroad, but that is different from what I am talking about)
