they should email FIFA with the proposal and tell them we are ready when they are. we are ready to host the peoples tournament whenever you stop accepting backhanders, we are ready to host the World Cup for the fans, not a bunch of greedy power hungry cunts.

England 2026 or 2030.
the next time we bid we shouldn't spend any money on the presentation. by 2026 we will have more new state of the art stadia that were not specifically built for one tournament. the high speed rail links should all be in place and everything else is good to go as of now anyway.

Should definitely go for it again, even though the same thing may happen.
They said we couldn't go for 2026, but I have no idea why.

Don't think we can host 2026.....but yes we should get 2030 for sure.
That'll be 64 years since the home of football last hosted it, and we're the best bid there possibly could be, probably in the whole World if you take everything into consideration.
Hopefully all the corrupt people will have retired or die a horrible death by the time those votes come around.

I think 2030 will be Uruguay/Argentina, having the 100 year anniversary at the place that held it first seems like a good idea. 16 years after Brazil though.

I would've thought they would be contenders for 2026. Europe can't have it, Asia won't get it....so that leaves Africa, and America generally. Seeing as how South Africa just hosted it and a country like Egypt is close to Qatar.....not sure another African nation could put up a decent bid. Most likely to go to the USA, Mexico, Argentina or Uruguay.

Why can't Europe have it, do we have to have 2 World Cup's in a different continent before we can get it again?

Well I know there is some sort of rule, but I wasn't sure whether it was 1 or 2 tournaments.
Even so, if USA or Mexico get to host it 3 times before we get to host it twice, it's disgusting.

Re: England 2026 or 2030.
Europe generally has the World Cup every other time. South Africa '10 and Brazil '14 is in fact the first time that Europe will have missed out on two consecutive World Cups.
So that means that basically the contenders for the 2026 WC will be China (FIFA of all organizations, would make a rule so they could host it right away), England, and USA.

To be fair, the only reason why Mexico held it twice was because of the devastating earthquake in Colombia just a few years before they were supposed to hold it in 1986.

Re: England 2026 or 2030.
Yah, 2030 is Uruguay's. No question IMO.
2026 should be hosted in North America or Australia. A bid from Aussieland, Amerikah, Canuckia or Lower Texas would be good.
2030 - Uruguay
2034 - Australia/N. American, whoever didn't get 2026
2038 - France/Italy/Spain. Possibly England, but I'd rather live through a WC from one of those 3.
2042 - Egypt/Morocco, or depending how other countries developed in the rest of africa, possibly Nigeria. But I am predicting these countries collapse rather than develop so that is mute.
2046 - A country like Indonesia will probably want it
2050 - Argentina/Chile/Venezuela/Colombia/Brazil
2054 - between Europe, Australia and North America. England's other chance. Hopefully Poland puts in a bid.
2058 - Europe/Aussie/NA - Whoever didn't get it last time. England's last chance in our lifetimes.
2062 - I'd be too old to care, or probably dead by then.
Those are my predictions that are slightly hopeful.

If Europe don't get 2030, there is absolutely no way we will not get 2034. Nice of Polska to sneak an opportunity to down England as always.

Hmm, your right.
Switch my choices for 2034 with 2038.
Anyway, I am not putting England down. I am not English and thus don't feel the need for the WC to be hosted in England, unlike you guys.
Quite honestly, I would love to go to a world cup hosted in Spain/Italy/France. I think it would be a blast. England? Not so much. It doesn't strike me as the kind of country i'd have an amazing fun time at. Plus the atmosphere in England wouldn't beat the atmosphere in Continental Europe, unless England is playing.
Then again, by the time a European country hosts, i'd probably have children which means no fun for me anyway.

I cba arguing but why wouldn't you have an amazing time? And the atmosphere in England is far better than France, Spain or Italy. I could understand if you said other countries, but not them.

When I picture Spain, I picture Ibiza, Barcelona, Andalucia. When I picture France, I picture Marsielle, Paris and Monaco, When I picture Italy, I picture Tuscany, Palermo, Napoli, Roma etc.
When I picture England, I picture Liverpool, London and Leeds.
Doesn't exactly scream "exciting"
The atmosphere in continental Europe is better than in England IMO. That's just me, i'm sure you'll find it the opposite, so there is no point arguing.

Ibiza absolutely, but I know a few people who have gone to Madrid/Barcelona and been completely bored.
I'd understand if you were English, because foreign places sound new and more exciting...but generally it's not the case at all. All the places you're mentioning except for Ibiza and Monaco offer anything special.
Either way, I think you're putting party time ahead of football....which is a bit strange. If we don't get it by 2042 I'll go to FIFA HQ myself and shoot them all :kammy:

the thing with a European World Cup is there will be tens of thousands of European fans from every nation! if England host a World Cup, there will still be 20,000 Spaniards over here the game - theres your spanish atmosphere! the french and italians dont travel so well but they will still have decent numbers and wherever they play in England will feel like Paris, Marseille, Rome or Naples for the day! you wont lose any atmosphere!!!
as much as you wanna see a WC in France or Italy, they both hosted it in the '90s, France have the Euro's in 2016 and the italians will get it soon after. it would not be fair on England, Spain or the rest of Europe should they get it again before us!

Fuck off seriously. I am getting annoyed by this. I don't hate England or anything, I'd love to go and visit London's site for a day or two, but other than that, it isn't exactly on my top 10 places to visit before I die. You in your mind are probably thinking that Polska is anti-English from the italicized sentence. Read it again, I said nothing anti-English, and I would appreciate if you didn't claim so.
@ Luxorz, I'd like to have a good time while at the WC. I mean, the games are only on later in the day, and not everyday, i'd like to do something inbetween and after the games.

Meh, I agree that as a tourist I personally would get bored quickly....but then again I would say the same thing if I was standing by the Grand Canyon, look at some lost ruins or whatever other "spectacles". For me I just want some nice weather (but not 30+ as tbh it just saps all the energy out of you), and something interesting to do, and some good night life and good food (so generally not continental Europe as the food is terrible IMO). I'm not like every tourist though, London attracts a lot of tourists. Realistically your average night out after football is going to involve a lot of things that England could cater for.
I also think England take the World Cup more seriously than anyone else, and the whole nation would be behind it...you couldn't go anywhere and not be surrounded by football crazy people. As has been proven in the build up to these bids.......most other countries were completely disinterested in the bids.
I'd like a World Cup in Switzerland.....then I have an excuse to go skiing

No, I get you. Pasta and other European food bore the crap out of me. Only European food I like is Polish food (fucking boss, if you come to 2012, go to Polish restaurants, I think we have amazing food. Never heard of anyone say they don't like it) and various dishes and sweets around Europe, like Salads from the Mediterranean and stuff.
Other than that, no thanks.

I did one of those post edits again
I'm not into salads and Mediterranean food at all, and generally the pasta, spaghetti, pizza kind of foods aren't a main meal for me, covered in meat I'd eat it but it's like a tasteless filler. I think generally it's all boring and tastes like shit. Greece and Turkey are nice though.
I've never bothered to go into any of the 1000's of Polish shops nearby but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt until I try it. I don't particularly like German food, I'd definitely eat it but I'm not a fan of what they do with their meat.
England has my favourite dish......Sunday Roast I really don't like spices, even when I ask for plain at places like Nandos it's too hot for me. I just like good food with traditional seasoning/sauces like salt, BBQ, gravy, ketchup

your post edits.
I don't doubt England's passion for the game for one minute.
Anyway, Polish food is probably somewhat similar to German dishes, because the countries share similar cultures and thus similar cuisines. German plates like Sauerkraut and Schnitzel actually appeared at the same time as Bigos(Sauerkraut) and Kotlet(Schnitzel) did, so they shouldn't be called German plates. Central European more like it.
We do our sausages a little bit different than the Germans do though, I think nothing beats Polish sausages, but I am biased. (Although I probably would say the same if I wasn't Polish tbh. They are very good)
But we have lots of delicious more unique dishes like Pierogies (should be everyones favorite meal IMO). Our Soups are among the best in Europe, and our deserts/sweets are unmatched in Europe as well IMO. Also if you think that a Pizza or whatnot is not a "mea" than you shouldn't be disappointed, we usually love to pack our plates with food.
We probably have the most underrated dish in Europe, if you have Polish restaurants near your work, you should definitely try it sometime.

I'm the opposite, I love spicy. Probably biggest reason I hate food in South America, it's all soft crap with Tomatoes and Mayonaise.
I like my BBQ and gravy though.

German sausages are dodgy, and the Schnitzel wasn't great......but chicken is too good to taste bad so that doesn't say much for Germany either.
Generally the restaurants near me are Indian or some kind of Islamic country . I don't like 1 thing on the Indian menu so generally I'm disappointed
Got to travel quite a bit to find a decent English restaurant which is pretty sad. All the local butchers who used to provide some really nice food are now Halal too
