    Birmingham V Aston Villa
    (St Andrews, 7.45pm, 1/12/10)

CC Birmingham City v Aston Villa 100px-Birmingham_City_FC_logo

    Vs

CC Birmingham City v Aston Villa 150px-Aston_Villa.svg

    Form
Birmingham - Come into the game on the back of three good results, especially 1-0 against Chelsea

Aston Villa - A decent start to the season has slowly gotten worse, despite scoring twice against Arsenal they still suffered a defeat.

    Key Men

Birmingham - Despite an inconsistent season Larsson finally got on the scoresheet and put in an impresive performance against Fulham
Aston Villa - If Gabby is fit he will no doubt cause our defence problems, if not Clarke finally scored his first 2 Villa goals against Arsenal

    Not So Key

Birmingham - Despite an impressive first half against Fulham, Hleb picked up an injury which means he misses the game
Aston Villa - Like Hleb, Mark Albrighton an avid Villa fan misses the Second City derby again through injury.

    Previous Meeting

    Aston Villa 0-0 Birmingham

    Prediction

A close game which i hate predicting however i reckon either 2-1 to Blues or a penalty shoot out

I reckon it will, although its snowing here atm we havent had as much as they have had up North. I reckon the Ipswich game could be a problem as it's pretty far for Baggies fans to travel.

Being the selfish git i am, i hope our game is off so i can go to the rescheduled fixture Laughing

Don't think so, its quite pointless tbh. Neutral

Although it is a chance for the lesser clubs to win some silverware as the bigger clubs don't really care about it, just a chance for them to give their reserves a run out.

Cameron - cheers, Roger is a beast. Rumours down here and on Sky Sports is that you lot are after Scott Dann...please dont take him away from us

Kyro - it's about time we got something dramatic, not just against Villa but in general. Our luck against them and throughout this season has been awful eg Fulhams goal on Saturday wasnt a corner CC Birmingham City v Aston Villa 817687

Looking at the teams they are obviously taking this seriously, if we play one of them first team would be the best option with 2 or 3 fringe players.
