He was asking for it with me as well. I'd actually intentionally avoided speaking to him on EA and never planned to until a few weeks ago when I was talking to some other Liverpool fans and he made 5 posts in a row begging for my attention with phrases like "destroyed" and "owned".

If you're going to be a regular poster on EA you're going to have to get used to a lot of idiots. It's not like on here where you think most people are idiots just because they have different opinions. People on EA are actual morons from any intellectual standpoint.

Please give me some credit.  I don't think anyone here is an idiot just because they have different opinions, I know some of them are idiots because they've been posting on here for many years and gone to great lengths to prove it.

Even considering that, many of the people on here who I disagree with I don't even think are idiots, that's just how I talk to people.  My disagreements with that terrorist sympathising maniac Ahly/FCB are the stuff of legend on this forum, I've probably disagree with him more than anyone else on this forum, but I'd say he's quite comfortably above average intelligence.  That's something I find pretty disturbing.  SBSP comes across as a complete window licker from the majority of his posts but he's obviously pretty smart considering some of the stuff that he's doing.  Even people like Scott and you I'd estimate to be around average.

Ahly's only academically intelligent though as soon as you have to apply a reasonable amount of logic or common sense to something like discussing Religion or making refereeing decisions then those intelligence levels certainly drop.

My statement was ambiguous which is why I think you took that "you" a little too literal. It was sort of a general statement addressing the collective "you" on here, not just you.

I only posted on this forum sporadically during it's height of activity but the vibe I got was that the users on average seemed smarter than what you see on EA now and even for the last 2 years. Of course there were idiots but not as many or as dumb, in my opinion.  

Didn't you say you got a 2:1? On a purely academic level you're pretty much the definition of average by UK graduate standards. Scott would definitely be classed as below average.

You're definitely right.  I wouldn't classify many on there outside of Ridikuluz, Stickey, Walter, and Jenko as particularly intelligent in terms of wit/how I imagine they do in school.  I do remember that a number of Arsenal fans could at least write well, but I could never really distinguish between them.
