It's such an honor to be above this much improved Manchester United team, and lets not forget how hard the league is this year.

We are only 5 points back with a game in hand.  It is remarkable that The Gaalacticos have mustered up such a lead considering how consistent we have been since the very first day.

Another tactical masterclass from Van Gaal.

Looking at the United fixture list, I would be extremely disappointed to not finish ahead of them.

We have a tough set as well to be fair.  At least we have been playing well and getting results, though.  We would be getting less than a point a game from our upcoming fixtures if we played like we did in November/October (can't remember which was worse, repressed those memories).

Add to that, we've apparently only lost 4 fixtures from January-onwards under BR.

Best we've played in ages and we get beat to a freak goal.  Annoying.  Not much more to say than that really.

I didn't realize he has been so poor since the end of November.  6 goals in his last 17 matches, if I did the adding correctly in my head.

Not really a typo, and I don't even get angry about it any more.   Last season had a massive calming effect on me, I think the level of anger I used to feelwhen we did get beat was probably quite unhealthy.  I still get into it when watching the match but 5 minutes after it's I'm not thinking about it any more if it goes negatively.  I've seen Liverpool about to win the league and Moyes making long term plans for United,  I've been to the precipice and we're  far from that now so I'm still a bit relieved.

I think this is probably how terminal cancer patients feel after they've received miracle remission diagnoses.

Odd that, only a few days ago you were quite passionate about United and were defending them aggressively. But now that you've lost and dropped down you've all of a sudden calmed? think Very strange.

Responding in an ostensibly aggressive way to retarded things people say on here is different from being seething at United getting beat.  3, 4, 5 years ago I would have been, it would have pissed me off all evening, now I don't think I'd even be thinking about it if it wasn't being brought up on here.

That was the tackle that prompted the confrontation between Wenger & Mourinho, correct?  That was horrendous, a level above the average studs-up challenge.

Yep. The worst thing is that the ball is right there to be won and yet he clearly has no intention of getting to it.

Martin Atkinson was the ref for that game and he was also the ref in the Burnley game yesterday. This is what Mourinho said when asked about the Cahill challenge on Sanchez

"I think the referee, from a technical point of view, had a fantastic performance in a difficult, technical, fast match with lots of runs behind - also the linesmen had a difficult game and I think they did a fantastic job"

    rofl

Strange how when it goes against him it's a conspiracy of such monumental proportions that he feels need to make a last minute appearance on Goal on Sunday hosted by a breakfast show anchor and a moron. But when it's in his favour it's a "fantastic" performance.

Chelsea always defends itself with its cloak of indifference.  You can't bring up Abramovich's past because they don't care and love his money, you can't bring up Mourinho's hypocrisy because he exists to infuriate, you can't bring up their aggression on the pitch because they only care about winning.  I hate to paint them all with the same brush, but the whole "we're racist and that's the way we like it" chant is a microcosm of this larger issue.  Chelsea is the worst, that's all I'm trying to say.

And what I find so hilarious is that they have been in totally command of the PL from start to finish and yet they are incredibly insecure. Like instead of admitting they were shit against Burnley they've blamed the referee as if Atkinson robbing them of two points to leave them just 5 points ahead of City is a disaster.

Even a section of United fans were critical of Ferguson and were wise to his "mind games", but Chelsea fans are complete taken it by Mourinho. And he's always thinking about his highlight reel, like how on Goal on Sunday he made that terrible lawyer analogy and you could just see thinking all the while that this would be something like Cantona and the seagulls, no Jose, it was just shit and try harder-ish Laughing And how could you forgot that attention seeking tackle during the only final he won last season.

"I didn't have an awful lot of sympathy for Nemanja Matic's red card until Courtois gave an intelligent analysis of the incident in his post-match interview. His eloquent interpretation left me with the distinct impression that here was a young man with real leadership qualities. This lad is the future of Chelsea."

Some of the pro-Chelsea analysis is enough to make me vomit.

Saw a Chelsea fan on Thursday being asked about what he thought of the racism on the Paris Metro, he said that it didn't happen and the footage wasn't real.  I do think Mourinho is a great manager, and a great man for that matter, but I daresay he rubs off a bit much on Chelsea fans.
