Technically, but I've lived my whole life in England. Might be a bit different calling someone who lives in Pakistan an Indian. It's quite the rivalry.Keyser Söze wrote:Coming from you. I got a netflix account and I think maybe I can just watch HD movies through my PS3 and get drunk and that will stop me feeling dead inside for a while.
Will review the situation when I have more money.

I watched the Hobbit 2: Tokyo Drift and it's a lot better than the hobbit 1. Dragged a little bit in the middle, but the elf bit was good.

The second Hobbit movie is top. I haven't read the book so i'm really looking forward to the next one. The song at the end is beautiful. And i'm a sucker for dragons.
I went to the movies to see it by myself because dragon.

Is that the one where Bombur turns into a transformer?
I like the Hobbit films. Although, the Hobbit was the first book I ever read that I wasn't forced to read so I don't think I can be objective with anything to do with that series.
Oh, and Dwarves.

Yeah, I assume you mean the bit with the barrels, that was my favourite action scene.
I thought there was a bit too much action in the film though, those bits dragged a little.

Reading the first one just makes me think it's like a LAD gathering, but they don't realise it yet.

I don't really care for any of the characters besides Bilbo. In LOTR, you felt a personal connection not just with Frodo, but the entirety of the Fellowship plus a number of secondary characters.Zzonked wrote:Free_Mustache_Rides wrote:Is that the one where Bombur turns into a transformer?

Re: Chat Thread
Will I like Sherlock if I watch it? Compare it to something else pls, I hate Doctor Who if that helps.
Tempted to try just for Marty Freeman. Benadryl Cumquat is alright too, but he's bordering on irritatingly-britishy quirky.

Re: Chat Thread
If you've watched other Sherlock Holmes (or House) and liked those you'll like Sherlock. I don't think Benjamin Cumbersnatch is particularly quirky considering the part he's playing, no more than Robert Downey Junior when he played him or Hugh Laurie's House anyway. It's not really like Doctor Who, there are a few superficial similarities between them, they share writers and Matt Smith might be a bit similar to Sherlock on the surface but the tone's completely different, it's much less wacky and the resolutions are a lot more intelligent.

Re: Chat Thread
Not usually a big fan of British TV series. It doesn't have the budget to compete with American stuff so usually they have to come up with gimmicky or overly clever storylines to bridge that gap. Not to say there isn't some good stuff though.
The Office UK was amazing for the budget it had, for example.
