No. Neither Apple Watch nor Google Glass are pointless. They're just new technologies that haven't caught on yet and maybe are too overpriced at the moment. I remember people writing off the iPhone and iPad (I was one of the people writing off the iPad).
At this point, I'm interested in the fitness companion when it comes to Apple Watch, Galaxy Gear, or Android based watches. But I'm not shelling out $200 for a watch like that. I'll consider these watches when they're down to $100.

There's alway resistance to new technologies and they take time to become popular. With Apple now in the game, I wouldn't be surprised if the wearable electronics industry starts picking up. For many people, Apple products are fashionable and they will buy anything that Apple makes. But don't let that take anything away from the product or the industry. After a few years, you'll see that these products will become more advanced and useful. Personally, I still think watches and Google Glass make more sense than tablets.
