The referee(s) missed two blatant red cards today, each from a yard away.  I would say that the fourth official should be able to watch on a screen from multiple angles to help with this sort of thing, but both were clear as day and the referee actively decided to do nothing.

If you're talking about the Shelvey elbow, I really doubt the ref would've caught it, even with how close he was. I figure he would be watching the ball instead.

The linesman was actually caught by the slap so don't know what happened there.

You are probably right.  I just thought that the ball hit Shelvey and he elbowed Can almost simultaneously.

I am guessing that he won't face disciplinary action since the linesman saw it, then? Premier League match discussion thread | 2014/15 - Page 31 3925848005

Sky's adverts are absolutely cringeworthy. Henry explaining to us all that different people see football in different ways and saying that Sky's slogan is how he will die. Fuck off.

Referee handing him a couple of dodgy penalties to inflate his stats. They'll keep him at the club for at least another five years.

We never give up goals like normal teams, we always give them up 30 seconds after we score or in little clusters.  No mental strength.

I honestly don't think Southampton or United are that much better than last season. It's just indicative of how far Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton have fallen that they've been able to get into the top 4.

This gives me hope, it takes time, a few managerial changes, and the development of a few youth players from now on to make up for the loss of a superstar.  Roll on next season.

Well that is a good thing, I thought it might have been a stupid fair play tiebreaker like the team with the least yellow cards.  Personally I like the countries that have a playoff when the season ends with two teams on equal points, few countries do this.

Moyes gone, Glazer dead, Gerrard fucking off for good, the last year has been brilliant. Is there any news on Kenneth Dalglish's health?

I wasn't aware any countries did this, I remember someone - Ricardo Carvalho maybe - saying it was a good idea in 2008 when it looked like the title would come down to it, although that had a degree of self interest. I like the idea, I'd implement it for everything, the title, relegation, CL qualification, even the Europa League. It'd be a great way to end the season.
