I have given perfectly good reasons for choosing Coutinho and Sterling over Mata and Di Maria for LIVERPOOL, are you just choosing to ignore them?

Chelsea got rid of Mata for similar reasons. Even though he was technically better than the likes of Oscar and Willian, he didn't suit the Mourinho football style. This is my point, sometimes it's not about individual talent. Sometimes it's about the team and how it fits together. (This is also why I think Di Maria is a fucking retard signing for United, especially for the £60 million being reported).

"I'd have Sterling (19) over Di Maria (26), for this season at least, as we don't know how well Di Maria will take the the PL (See Ozil's underwhelming first season, even Keyser is pissed off with him), and we don't know just how good Sterling may become, plus he's settled here. "

How can you argue with those reasons?

Also, Di Maria only scored 4 goals in what, 35 League appearances? Coutinho and Sterling both scored more, in a more competitive League (not that it's really relevant to my argument). Even Lallana scored more (again, not really relevant).

Well for one Balotelli is the complete antithesis of the way Liverpool play with invalidates that argument. At least Rooney works hard and presses.

Also Rooney was the only player who really preformed anywhere near full ability under Moyes, just because the rest of the team was a complete shit show it's not his fault.

this entire "omfg my team's #10 doesn't press we are so out of it" phase is embarrassing nowadays, Mata is an outstanding player and would be an asset to almost any team (only exceptions are the top European sides obvi). he would walk into Liverpool's team ahead of Coutinho. it's so hilarious how you mention how Mata doesn't suit Liverpool's pressing game, but when it comes to Balotelli, there is no mention of it.

I said United were average, Novi came along and basically said what does that make Liverpool? Due to United having more world class players.

My point is (and I've said this several times now) that it doesn't always matter how many individual world class players a team has. It doesn't automatically make them better than a team with less/no world class players and we have proved that, by showing that we're far superior to United.
