I've got a terrible feeling the USA will win.  Right before the 4th of July.  I live in DC.

I might just turn to the bottle and drink non-diet soda, I don't know if I'll be able to handle this.

Does that mean you've been going to DuPont? And the quarterfinal game is on the 5th, not sure this country could handle that much America if we were to play on the 4th in a quarterfinal game.

Wait, do they have a big public screen there?  I've just been watching the matches during my lunch break or on the MetroBus, but I have off this Friday, so it might be fun to watch the matches there if they're showing them.  Have you been watching them there?

Only the US games, I believe. And so far, I watched the Ghana game on DVR after being late getting back from work and not making it out in time to catch the game in Clarendon. Watched Portugal at Laughing Man Tavern in DC with AO, and I just got done watching the Germany game now, because of work and a wedding. Hoping to make it back to Laughing Man for Belgium.

Ah, so it stops after Tuesday. A shame.

I watched one Liverpool match at the Queen Vic this past year to meet up with a real life friend I met offline who attends another school in the area, but it's not really worth going unless you drink, the food isn't even up to British pub standard.  I had to sneak out before the final whistle to avoid some wretched singalong they had planned.  The Laughing Man looks much nicer based on Google Images.

The times of the matches this World Cup seem pretty unfortunate for those of us on the East Coast, I would like all 3 matches pushed back 3 hours ideally.

Yeah Laughing Man is right near the White House, so it's in a nice area.

I will not consume any Belgian waffles until after the game this Tuesday, anyone else with me on this one?  I sure hope so because you are not very patriotic if you eat those things right now.

Very cowardly showing after going down. Barely even tried to get back into the match.

I've been very disappointing with the reactions of a few non European sides. USA went into a shell when up vs. Ghana and Portugal, Mexico seemed to play prevent defense vs. Netherlands after they scored, Nigeria showed nothing after they conceded, in a WC of surprises it's disheartening to see teams react so poorly vs power sides.

Wouldn't mind another penalty shoot out. This game has been pretty good considering it's a 0-0 so far.
