It's extremely easy to remove the old charging port and basically plug in the new one so labour costs shouldn't be too high, not enough to warrant $300. If it's a circuit board that requires the old charging port to be unsoldered and then solder the new one then it will probably be will be more expensive, don't know how much more but my opinion is it shouldn't be $300.
