I love True Detective more than anything. I have watched it twice through already, started my third watch through today.

Best new show to come along in a couple of years.  

Is it as good as Luther?

It's on a very high standard. Great story, brilliant directing, brilliant dialogue, brilliant acting. Definitely worth your time, just the premiere should be enough to get you hooked.

I'll give it a whirl in 3 weeks.  Don't want to risk my GPA when I'm so close to the finish.

Do you work on trimesters or semesters?  When do you finish?

Trimester, one term of five weeks to go although most of the leg work's already been done. I'd prefer a nice concentration of exams in the final few weeks of the year to really get the adrenaline pumping for a last surge.

I have 4 papers and one exam.  I have two weeks without class to complete it though, so it should be straightforward.

One paper and one project to go. Slightly over halfway done on the paper, and slightly under halfway done on the project.

Do you have to fill your courseload with a load of General Education Requirements, or are you able to avoid that since you've already declared such a specialized major?

I haven't actually declared yet. Since I'm in the College of Letters and Sciences, I can't declare until I've finished my prerequisites, which will be in a year. It also means I do have to take several general education requirements. It's a terrible system, but it is what it is.

I am in the same boat with our College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It is good to see we both attend schools with pretentious names.

What happened to this place?
