I wish I'd just stayed in Nottingham for Uni. Can't wait to drop out of this place already. The initial first few days are very good but I'm bored of clubbing every night, I just want to be back home and going out for a quiet pint with my mates, or sat watching tv in the lounge with my family, or spending time with my girlfriend, but I'm mid way through freshers and I fucking hate it already. 

Had the worst clubbing experience of my life tonight too. Around 80% of people were horny, dickhead lads, and the few girls that were available were all being grabbed around, groped, forced into kissing etc. I just wanted to punch every single guy in there.

I thought I could have handled uni, but my life back home the few months before leaving has been the best it's ever been, and now I've been thrown into this and I just hate it.

I think we are seeing the progression from ForestLAD to Gentleman Forest.

I've always been gentleman Forest, I actually hate all that LAD thing and the people like it. It just seemed funny at the time when everyone got so wound up over it.

I think I'm going to join a few societies and get to know people through that so I've got something other than clubbing to socialise. I can't be done with going out 4/5 nights a week. Once every 3/4 weeks is enough for me, just like I'm used to back home.

Birthday present ideas, anyone? It's my Birthday on 4th October and my family/gf are already asking me on almost a daily basis "what do you want for your Birthday?". I am rubbish at thinking of something I'd genuinely be happy/excited about.

Freshers isn't the same as normal uni life. I went out 6 nights out of 7 in freshers and then after that it was probably like once a week/2 weeks. When you make friends there you'll probably end up doing loads of random quiet things, everyone I know usually does this. I wanted to go home halfway through freshers too and I felt really alone.
