No, not on release date. Consoles usually go through a price drop after about 6months or so.

What's sad is Maestro probably thought he was going to end of as the next Mark Zuckerberg He even bought back the share of his forum he sold, probably couldn't sleep at night thinking that it would be a huge mistake and they'd be making documentaries about how he sold a multi million pound website for a few pounds

Re: Chat Thread
For a forum that's the 'main' one these days, its pretty inactive. I checked on it yesterday at about 4PM and the last posts were from like 2am. Its usual dead unless its a match day and even then its not that much.

Re: Chat Thread
That's hardly surprising, given they alienated anyone with even a hint of a personality and instead elevated miserable robots like Laurencio, Trent, and Start to positions of importance, whether that be in moderating/administrative positions or just allowing them to still exist. Whenever I view one of the match threads, it's just:
John wrote:Good game on our hands today
James wrote:Kickoff, let's go guys.
Phil wrote:Good start so far.
Joe wrote:1-0 to the home team.
Jack wrote:1-0, goal from Smith.
Johnny wrote:Cracking hit my Smith.
Daniel wrote:Half time, thoughts?
Henry wrote:No thoughts so far.
Steve wrote:Good to hear, second half.
Steven wrote:Boring second half, 1-0 final. Any thoughts?
Stephen wrote:No thoughts, mate.
Max wrote:Very good.
Harry wrote:It will be interesting to see how the away team will react to this loss.

That's pretty spot on.
Also, the chat thread is basically Start. talking to himself.

Re: Chat Thread
Well that's not good considering he's here for two years. Can't be much worse than Garcia playing at CB I guess.
On another note, just finished reading Cloud Atlas. Probably one of the best things I've ever read. It's a novel that really took a special writer, not something just anyone could write. Fully recommend. Gonna watch the film tomorrow and see how that shapes up, reading the novel probably helps a lot cause I imagine it may be confusing separating the stories in the film.

Re: Chat Thread
Of course. Most of the time, when I look on TF, it's completely dead. Quite often, the last post is from several hours ago. I don't get it, as there's usually people logged on (there are 5 people logged on right now) yet no-one bloody says anything for hours on end. Whereas, on here, there's always a debate/conversation going on apart from perhaps the early morning in UK time (6am-10am). People on there really ought to come back here.SBSP wrote:Do we currently have more active members than TF?
It's been slowly declining since all of us got banned. I remember Laurencio tried to say that it's the most active it's been, once .. It's a graveyard. They're responsible for the disappearance of interesting members, such as Novi. Where the fuck is he now?Ra's al Ghul wrote:It will be interesting to see whether or not their forum will become more active.

Not a chance. Them lot over there pay money for their site so that obviously helps. I refuse to pay money for a forum where 80% of it's user base will be kids and cretins.
They will never make money. They might think they are running a business but they will never profit from it. Even Reddit hardly makes a profit.

Re: Chat Thread
This forum is more active than TF anyway. You've never paid money for this forum, as far as I'm aware, yet it was immensely active for a long, long time.Mal wrote:Not a chance. What even happened? How did it get to this point? I can't remember. Think I was banned before it happened, so I never saw the full extent of it.

Re: Chat Thread
This place was full of kids and immature people. They saw a new forum and automatically thought it'd be better and less restrictive. They were wrong but they made up their minds. That website is one big clusterfuck. This place was always lively because there was hardly any sections so most people online were probably in the same section.

It's better here purely for the fact that Start isn't here.
