United will probably be world beaters by the time we play them. For the last couple of years we've come up against them early in the season but the one time they're playing shit we don't Rolling Eyes

    True that.

Liverpool is looking godly. Suarez and Sturridge. Too good.

We really need to win tomorrow. Title slip will be on the way if not. Champions don't fuck up vs non top 4(6)

Nice set of results. Arsenal and Liverpool now 1st and 2nd on the same points whilst stepping 3 points ahead of Spurs.

Arsenal are taking the piss, they kept finishing above us, sneaking into forth, and the one year we start really, really well, Arsenal are 1st. Rolling Eyes

    Thank god, that draw.

What the fuck West Ham... Tottenham was dominating like mad in the first.. I was just going to assume they would start getting them in.

Wilshere and Jenkinson were particularly poor. Ramsey, Özil and Giroud weren't that much better. Our transition from defence to attack was so slow, to be expected when we have no pace on the flanks and with Sagna out we lost what little width and pace we had.

    West Brom pressed us effectively.

Just had a look at Arsenal's fixtures, you've got a really tough run of game starting from 29th Oct.

    Chelsea (League cup)
    Dortmund
    Liverpool
    Dortmund
    Man United.

If there ever was a time for a potential confidence knocking/reality check. That'll be it.

Basically. I've been waiting for the 'real' fixtures to show up and give us a reality check. It's been nice handling business vs weaker clubs, but we are who we are.. no way we can compete vs the top competition coming up. Chelsea, United, Liverpool, City, all handle us.

Just glad we are at the top of the league to give us some cushion when the drop comes.

Liverpool and Arsenal's start and results have been eerily similar.

We're both on 16 points. We both have a GD of +6.

We both have 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat.

Your defeat came from a mid-table team (Villa) at home. Ours also came from a mid-table team at home (Southampton)

Our draws both came from mid-table teams (WBA and Swansea)

You beat your most hated rivals (Spurs) 1-0 at home. We beat our most hated rivals (Man United) 1-0 at home.

Your 4 wins came against Stoke, Sunderland, Fulham and Swansea.

Our 4 wins came against Stoke, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

Liverpool and Manchester United are only 'potential confidence knocking/reality check' games. Chelsea is a Cup fixture and I doubt neither us nor Chelsea will play anything close to a 1st squad.

Refereeing in that game was terrible. Should have had at least 2 penalties.

Yes he was quite shit. There were fouls all over the fucking place.. mainly at Wilshere, a few vs other Arsenal players.

Flamini was a brute.. could have been sent off for sure. But tbh we didn't really muscle anyone or make dirty challenges. West Brom are cunts.

Plus Giroud is so hit or miss in front of goal.. no composure. Could have had a few today, was fed brilliantly throughout the match.

There was one period towards the end of the first have that was disgraceful, players were clearly being obstructed, fouled off the ball, pushed, pulled and grabbed, and nothing was being given.

That was when Olsson misjudged a bouncing ball in the box and Ramsey got ahead of him and then Ridgewell manhandled him for about a minute. That was ridiculous, should have 100% been a foul. I would even understand if the Ref had given it against Ramsey but giving nothing at all was absurd.

He was like that all game, a lot of strong fouls weren't called but he gave fouls for really soft niggly things that just broke up flow.

At least he was consistent. He could have easily given WBA a last minute penalty. Now that would have made you all really mad.

He was consistently inconsistent. If that was a penalty then we should have had two, easily.

Jack Wilshere should have been sent off, but he was also lucky to escape with two legs after Mulumbu & co's treatment of him.

That lad could have come close to the talent of Lee Cattermole if he wasn't such a vicious honey badger and had simply applied himself. Rolling Eyes
