How do you think José Mourinho will do in his first season in English football?
I think if given the two/three signings, we'll win the league and more than likely an English cup.

Then leave to manage England and win the WC with them.

It will happen. Mourinho is a magician.

He's good at taking an already good team, spending a shit ton to make them even better then winning stuff with them, not performing miracles mf.

Porto beating who they did that year would be nothing compared to turning England into a world cup winning side.

Win CL with Porto? Success.
Make Chelsea into the best team in England? Success.
Win the CL with Inter? Success.
Make an effort to disrupt Barcelona's dominance? Success.
Mourinho is the definition of exceptional.
I should have removed the first four words.Danny wrote:Christ.Moriarty wrote:He will succeed, just as he has done at every single noteworthy club in his career.

That's more indicative of how awesome he was at his other clubs. He did a fine job at Madrid.Danny wrote:Limited success, far less than he had at his previous clubs.
He has certainly halted Barcelona's charge to dominance. The last time Real Madrid made a final was in 2002 (he made the semi-finals three times in a row), and he only lost out to an excellent Dortmund side after humiliating the likes of "GOAT Manager and Protector of the Footballing Realm Sir Alexander Ferguson."Danny wrote:His line about "ending Barcelona's dominance" in his presser yesterday was complete and utter shite (along with a few other things). He only 'ended' it for a year, and their defence of the title was just about finished before Christmas. Then you add in he couldn't reach a CL Final, he alienated a lot of his squad..

He still succeeded.
