Hopefully the PS4 is more competitively priced. Saying that, I doubt it'll be less than £400.

Agreed. Ryse looked like the only game that I could really get into, and Deadrising 3 looked like a game I would buy. Other than that I couldn't care less about what was shown. Even as a big fan of SuperNintendo's Killer Instinct, the one they showed today just looked outdated.

They need to make inter-console online co-op a reality for FIFA 15.

Going to wait to see from reviewers on how the mechanics work. Can't trust these new games. They better have a decent story for that as well.

No way I'd pay $400 for a console, let alone $500.

An average XBOX lasts about 3 years for me. I got the XBOX Slim Pro or whatever it's called 12 months, I'm hoping I can milk my entire time at university from it.

For 500, I'd want a console that could last me most of the decade.

Puts me off too, but I think it would probably be a mixture of hostel type places and hotels. Depends what's available/cheap. I would imagine hostels would be mostly full of tourists though.

When the 360 came out in 2005 it was £280 and hypothetically speaking if had lasted up till 2013 then I'd say that's decent value for money even if you factor in inflation. But £430 is disgusting.

An Ipad is more or less a one off payment.

With this you're going to have factor in the cost of Live and the cost of buying games/films to actually make use of the fucking thing.

Need a better read of the quick time event gameplay in Ryse. Given that they apparently spent seven years fucking things up before coming to this, game might be too good to be true.

Luckily I have Rome Total War 2 arriving around then.

Fuck paying over £400 for the new xbox. Sad thing is, there will be plenty of people willing to pay that, which will be Microsoft's justification.

I've had my current laptop for a long time and it's starting to fall apart. I might just buy a new one next year. Eff that next gen ish.
