This must be the worst about 2 year stretch in PK history for professional football.
and there ya go. Team is anti-clutch.

why wasn't Suarez taking the penalty?

Rodgers deserves this for starting Shelvey. Bound to keep using him though.

Football is so evil, this could be so heartbreaking if the match mattered...at all.
Fortunately, this season doesn't matter anymore. Just a shame we keep giving shit clubs something to wank about.

This, it is also frustrating that we let a small club park the bus and still score twice. Pathetic, thuggish tactics from West Brom, who spent the entire game hoofing it to Shane Long (the 5 feet 10 inches Irishman dominated the pathetic Carragher in the air all game).Eternal Witcher wrote:Just a shame we keep giving shit clubs something to wank about.

This will be a key loss when Liverpool look back on their season. Losing to their major Europa League rivals will be a huge blow, especially at home. Back to square one I guess.

I didn't watch the whole game, but the last 10 mins and looked like it was one of those games. Agger looked horrendous when Lukaku came on. Tbf Long has a great leap on him.Moriarty wrote:This, it is also frustrating that we let a small club park the bus and still score twice. Agger has been off-form recently, he is really pretty dreadful at defending set pieces-it cost us against Arsenal, and it cost us today. Long is very athletic, but having the capacity to breathe is the main quality that determines whether or not you will give Carragher a torrid time. For someone who has plagued the game for over a decade, Carragher was not particularly clever in marking or staying goal-side of Long.19Jones19v wrote:I didn't watch the whole game, but the last 10 mins and looked like it was one of those games. It did seem like one of those games, but we were down to ten men before the match. The person playing in behind the striker is usually clever, athletic, and graceful. Jonjo Shelvey is English, runs like he has bionic legs made in the 1980s, and lazy. The obvious thing to do was to play Sterling and put Henderson behind Suarez, or to bring in Allen and push Gerrard further forward. That may have been putting square pegs into round holes, but it is better than forcing a rusty square peg caked with mold into a square hole.

I feel Suso should have played ahead of Shelvey

I know he's a quality defender, think it must have been his form shouldn't be a worry unless it continues. Yep I know Carragher has suffered from strikers with pace, Thierry Henry loved him. I'm sure you and most Liverpool fans are pleased he'll be retiring at the end of the season.Moriarty wrote:Agger has been off-form recently, he is really pretty dreadful at defending set pieces-it cost us against Arsenal, and it cost us today. Sometimes you do have to wonder what managers think when 90% of Liverpool supporters know Shelvey is poor, I feel your pain as we had a dreadful player in our ranks in Santos. Could have started Coutinho there or Suso for that matter.
