    Ja! Das ist wunderbar!

    shifty

    There are so many questions though. Will he adapt his coaching philosophy or will he be rigid. What kind of transfers will he make? This is going to be riveting.

    Looking at it as it is now, Bayern could run a 4-3-3 easily.

    Neuer; Lahm, Dante, Boateng, Alaba; Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Kroos; Robben/Mueller, Gomez, Ribery;

    Martinez fits the Biscuits role perfectly, and the back five are comfortable with the ball. The midfield is a bit more direct than Barcelona's though. Plus there is Ball Hog Robben to consider.

    Bayern Munich seems a strange choice to me, but sure why not. Let's see what he can do in an even more dominant club than Barcelona (Given that Dortmund aren't really as rich as Bayern, nor do they have the ability to keep a hold of players in the same way).

    Think he'll do a great job, Munich have a good youth academy and are a really stable club. Going to be interesting to see what he does with the team and his philosophies.

    Four or five? Where else could he go? Fergie isnt going anywhere soon and Rafa will probably return to Chelsea, who else was in the running? (totally discounting any rumors of MLS)

    I should have said "four or five oft talked about scenarios...." Which were Man Utd (admittedly not very likely in reality), Milan, Chelsea, Man City and Munich.

    Watching Guardiola build Milan from the ground up would have been fascinating.

    I say ground up in that they don't have a top team at the moment, although there are so good players there.

    He's been talking up the Premier League recently, but Bayern's a much better job than Chelsea or Arsenal imo, Fergie probably isn't going anywhere any time soon, and City.. who knows. shifty

    Because it's "easy". Not that anyone can manage Bayern Munich, but they have the most money, the most fans and the best players, and honestly if Dortmund keep getting weaker (Götze will probably not stay) there's not a lot of competition to be fair. Guardiola went from one high pressure job with one main rival, to a high pressure job more or less without any rivals. Bayern even have the talented players coming through that will make any "transition" easy, Guardiola doesn't really need to build a new squad because Bayern already have a fantastic talent pool at hand. He isn't really taking the most challenging job, because Bayern will probably accept not doing too well in the champions league as long as they do well in Germany, which they most likely will anyway with a competent coach/manager with that squad and the financial power and reputation they already have.

    Sure it's a good job, but I really expected a more exciting choice. Both Arsenal and Milan are in need of rebuilding and have financial backing for it (allegedly). Bayern don't really need to rebuild anything, their young players are easily good enough and talented enough to take up the mantle from formerly established players.

    Another thing that is intriguing about this is the fact that he signed a 3 year deal. He never signed multi-year contracts with Barcelona.

    Do you think Guardiola would want Bayern to win the CL this year?

    Interesting question indeed. Certainly, he will act like he wants them to win it. But in his heart of hearts, probably not. Anything that raises the standards and expectations at this point is not in his favor. I think the best case scenario for him is for them to get to the final and lose again. And then next year or in his first few years, if he manages to win the Champions League with Munich, he goes down as the hero who got them over the hump.

    Lol. Kroos and Ribery to be replaced despite the fact that they've been their two stand-out performers this season.

    They could well be, they both have attitude problems that pep wont put up with and kroos has been a lazy twat under every manager he's has other than jupp, the stupidest thing about that though is thinking guardiola would somehow drop mandzukic and start gomez, or that suarez wouldnt play upfront, gomez is literally the perfect example of a player that stands no chance in peps system.
