Also it's hard to determine these things, if you talk about pure dominance, Woods is in. Babe Ruth is in too, but just look at Ruth, not exactly a model of athletic perfection. If you include legacy, Jackie Robinson is in too, I try to base mine on athletic skill and performance.

Is cycling even a sport? I thought it was just a mode of transport.

Next thing you know getting on the bus will be a sport. Rolling Eyes

Honestly I don't think running is a sport.

It's a competition, like bodybuilding or running for president.

We are talking about athletes though, even if you don't consider running or cycling a sport (which i totally disagree with) the participants are world class athletes.

I'm struggling to pick just 5. I've tried to pick 1 for a different sport each

Bobby Moore, Fred Perry, Steve Redgrave, Phil 'The Power' Taylor, and last but not least, the legend that is Max Woosnam

Amongst his achievements was winning an Olympic gold and silver at the 1920 Summer Olympics, winning the doubles at Wimbledon, compiling a 147 break in Snooker, making a century at Lord's Cricket Ground, captaining the British Davis Cup team, captaining Manchester City F.C. finishing ultimately runners-up for the Football League Championship in 1920-21 and captaining the England national football team.

That wasn't the Black Power guy was it? But yeah, I've heard of that guy. Just didn't know his name. I don't really pay attention to the Olympics besides football and boxing. So don't really know about any of the Olympic greats.

Pro Bodybuilding takes more dedication and graft than most sports. Would probably be officially recognized as a sport had America not declared war on performance enhancers. The Russians were using them to destroy everybody in every Olympic games.

Actually, come now that I think about it that was a stupid question. I knew the Black Power thing happened in the 60's or 70's and I knew Hitler died at least 2 decades before that time. But I still asked. Laughing

    Dead, man. Dead.

Armstrong interview is already up on YT. Watched the first 15 minutes and didn't give a shit about the rest. I wonder how much money he got for talking.

Scratch that. Probably did it for free to help with his now tattered image. Should have taken it.

You obviously don't know anything about it then. The top guys train 7 days a week, they have to eat 7-10 meals every single day. They also have to take all their performance enhancers and drugs etc like clockwork. If they miss one workout, one meal etc some other guy can surpass them. On the job 24/7 and it takes incredible dedication, way more than to be a footballer for example.
