Well part of the problem in America is the culture of violence in games, movies, etc. It's something to consider, but I believe there are bigger issues to tackle when it comes to gun violence than the influence of media.

I haven't said otherwise, but your hate for him is a little OTT, he does his part, sure you could criticize him for his supposed lack of goals/assists, but he's one of our only players who can take the ball and take it round a few players and lay it off to others. That very same "media" culture exists in every single other western society (and non western for that sake), if there was a real correlation then why aren't we all troubled by the same amount of violence and gun violence as the US? Not saying that it can't have any influence what so ever, but to be fair if that was the case Germany, France, Italy and many, many other countries should be struggling with the very same issues.

It's no so much just having violent movies, games, and songs, but the culture that encourages such media and general fear. In general, Americans are more afraid and have less concern for the lives of others than people in those countries.

Like I said, there is a bigger problem in America that needs to be addressed, and that's the ease of access to guns. In some cities in the US, citizens are REQUIRED by law to have a gun.
