I think De Gea's class.
People forget he's only 22, and could hardly speak a word of English I don't think when he first joined United

Not been on here for so long but im ecstatic De Gea played so well against Madrid what a boost of confidence, also Phil Jones was excellent in my opinion. Was so pleased with the overall result. Yes I realise its late but I haven't been on here in so long cut me some slack

Patrick Collins asking "has the well run dry for Rooney already?" in the Mail on Sunday purely because he played out wide at the Bernabeu.
Let's forget the fact he's scored something like 10 goals in his last 11 games and just focus on an average, and defensive performance against Madrid. Moron.

Danny, don't take this the wrong way. But your posting style when you talk about football is kinda irritating. To me a good chunk of your posts seem to be something along the lines of:
[insert pundit/celebrity/player/someone on twitter]
said that
[insert United player/United/Ronaldo]
is underperforming/in bad form
[insert reasons why he's wrong]
[insert moron/idiot/nobhead]
It's not a dig or anything, just a sentiment I'd thought I'd share because I might not be the only one it gets under the skin off.
_________
Anyways back to the reason I came in here for. I was working on FIFA's creation center(I'm creating Mexico's 2nd division) and while looking up the weights, heights ect of players I stumbled onto some news that flew right over my head last month.
Jurge Damm was on trial with Manchester United and apparently it was a successful one. I don't know if nothing never materialized from it or even if it was false but still odd that news like this would go under the radar with me. I'm usually pounce like a cat when it comes to Mexican players in Europe rumors.

Well how else am I going to put it across?
If he'd took his time and actually had a think before writing his column maybe he wouldn't come to the absurd conclusion where he's basically saying that Rooney's finished.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
You don't need to put it across. Just think to yourself, "that's a rather misinformed opinion." And move on to another article or scroll up your twitter feed.
For example, I'm not positive it was you but most likely it was you who made a tread about some random guy I've never heard off saying Bale was better than Ronaldo or something along those lines. I'd like to think that most people would disagree with that opinion and I'd assume that you'd think that too. So it becomes completely unnecessary to make a, "look this guy's opinion is wrong!" thread. We all know the guy is wrong. The only thing you accomplish by trying to ridicule the guy is giving the guy attention. Which if the guy is smart enough to become a journalist or somebody who gets paid for stating his views or opinions than he's probably smart enough to know that saying something completely asinine is a smart way to trick people into reading his blog or article or whatever, in other words he's smart enough to know something like that will give him attention. Which then makes you, the usually intelligent young man, nothing but putty in his hands.
But again, this is not a dig or me picking on you or anything, just something I think is worthy of contemplating.
Truth be told, I believe the forum would be in a better place today if more members took the above approach.

Probably Chelsea at home in the quarter final if we beat Reading tomorrow. What a surprise.
Think that just about completes the achievement of being drawn against all of our rivals in the Cup in the last few years.

Our 5th round tie (tonight) is the only all Premier League tie.
Haven't been drawn against a non Premier League team since Crawley 2 years ago. But hey, we always get the easy draws right?

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Not really, we can't exactly do anything about it. Just the luck of the draw.
@UtdMancunian: United face a Premier League opposition in the FA Cup for the 7th successive time & the 22nd time in 27 FAC rounds. We get easy teams tho.
Says it all.

Was a bit touch and go at the end there. Thought Nani was excellent and showed that he should be starting more and made much more of an impact as opposed to Valencia of late.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Probably the fact that everyone says we always get easy draws yet this season we've managed to draw 5/5 Premier League teams in the 2 cups (probably 6 after Chelsea win their 5th round tie), and Madrid in Europe too. That might be what we "complain" about.Dr. Ján Ĩtor wrote:Id rather be at home to reading than away to boro anyway so I dont see what you're complaining about.

I think you will find that all draws are random. Therefore, you are just as paranoid as the people claiming that United always get an easy draw.

My friend, you were quite clearly suggesting that Manchester United always gets the hard draws. If anything, your Champions League draw was one of the easier draws.Danny wrote:I know all the draws are random, I'm just pointing out there's just about nothing out there to suggest we get "easy draws".

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Seen as the group stages are seeded you really should get a fairly routine group- especially if you're seeded top.
Turns out we'd probably have been better off finishing 2nd in it.

Some good bits also some shit bits.
readings goal was from a defensive error from a couple players.
Also don't start saying shit like "This is why Nani should be starting alot more games", Its stupid to say that.
Yes he was excellent when he came on and showed what he can do. He needs to be doing it consistently.
Completely changed the game and won it for us almost single handedly. If he could perform like this then he would be one of the first names on the team sheet.
Lets just see how he goes in the next game, He deserves a starting spot.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Looks like Jones and maybe Rooney will be out for Madrid unless Fergies playing mind games. Reckon we'll play something like this :
De Gea
Rafael--Rio/Vidic--Evans--Evra
Valencia--Carrick--Cleverly--Welbeck
Kagawa
RVP
Nani probably deserves to start but don't think he the right choice as he isn't that hard working compared to Valencia.
