Benitez appointed as interim manager at Chelsea.

What are people's honest thoughts on this?

Predictions for how it will play out?

I personally think he will do very well and get the team playing in a way that makes Torres deadly again.

I also think it's unfair, the way Chelsea fans have come out being negative before he's had a chance to do anything. It's very unfair that Benitez has the pressure of so many doubters on his shoulders already.

However, like I said, I suspect those Chelsea fans will be eating their hats and singing his praises before too long.

Hope he does well, tbh. Nice to have him back in the Premier League.

I like the idea of him being back just because I can laugh at him again.

I think he will do pretty well though, don't think Torres will change too much though.

Tbh I was so negative because I didnt realise it was only an interim appointment. Im not sure how he'll do so I'll give him a chance.

I think he'll be pretty good, can they win the league? can they win the CL? I dunno. But I think if given time he'll provide some stability and a clear vision, the most interesting thing is to see how he'll do in the transfer market, more specifically the summer. Chelsea have a pretty good team right now and so it'll be interesting to see what moves he makes.

Don't have much hope for Torres but imagine if he can get a Llorente or Falcao.

I'd expect him to get Llorente, not only is he an excellent striker when Chelsea lack excellent strikers, he's spanish and Mata and Torres are already at the club. Plus money is little object and there's the whole London lifestyle if he has a lady on the side who really wants "the life".

He was such a class act when it came to fans in Liverpool. Would often be seen in local pubs, interacting with our fans.

Somehow I don't think the Chelsea fans will extend him that courtesy. At least not for a while anyway. We'll see if he can turn some heads.

no idea why they fired Di Matteo, but Benitez has always been pretty good, good signing, if they sign a striker they'll win the league. I'm just glad they didn't sign Harry Redknapp.

He'll probably do well, just hopefully not starting this weekend.

Looks like Chelsea are still eager to get something out of their 50m investment, I don't think Benetiz will bring Torres form and he will do an awful job
