Zidane will probably win due to the moment, but both goals were similar in the build up to the strike (with the ball dropping from an incredible height), Zidane was directly in front of goal and on his feet, Zlatan was off at an angle and hit it via bicycle.

Let's be honest, if it wasn't a CL final, there'd be a fucking shitload of goals better than Zidane's. It's so fucking overrated, occasion shouldn't have anything to do with how good a goal is.

Fucking hell, it was a volley from the edge of the area, Matty fucking Taylor scored better goals than that. Because it wasn't a CL final though no one cares.

I honestly believe this goal is better than both of them.

It takes an unbelievable amount of technique to place a first time volley with your weaker foot into the top corner like Zidane did. Ibrahimovic's over-head kick was a nifty bit of improvisation but the goal itself didn't require nearly the same amount of precision as Zidane's did. Zidane for me.

The thing with Ibrahimovic's goal is that most players wouldn't be able to get their body into the position to strike a ball like that. With Zidane's, anyone can try that, get lucky and claim they meant it.

I reckon that it takes a lot of athleticism to pull off what Zidane did as well (his legs are almost perpendicular to one another) so I'm not sure that anyone could try it. And that isn't really a fair criticism considering that that Bressan goal is strikingly similar to Ibrahimovic's. I haven't really seen many people hit a ball with such a loop with their weaker foot into the top corner like Zidane did either.

Zidane's goal is overrated. Both of Rooney's goals were better. Fuck, even Liam Lawrence's goal against Fulham could rival Zidane's. Overrated because of the occasion and player.

Dont see how that makes me a hater.. Zidane is one of my favourite all time players... doesnt change my opinion though. There's been plenty of better goals.
