Zidane's new role.........

So I just read an article that says Zidane will become Mourinho's right-hand man, a link between the players and the President. Even though I do not care for Jose, I do like this move since Zidane has always been a player's player, but I think Mourinho wants this to happen solely to endear him more with the fans and others throughout the club who like Zidane and haven't fully warmed up to him.

Thoughts?

I don't Mourinho could use Zidane as a puppet to be honest. Zidane is probably doing this because he thinks it's best for Real.

I dont get quite what he's going to be doing ?

Is he going to do what Beckham did for England this world cup ?

Ah I see what you mean, I dont think Mourinho is doing that to ease off the fans. Most of them already love him anyway apparently.

I think it would be good having him around the dressing rooms and training. He can give his experience and advice to younger players and motivate the squad as a whole.

Hopefully Henry does that for us when he retires or joins coaching staff

Bergkamp already has his badges, maybe Bergkamp for manager with Henry as striker coach.

Bergkamp has a long way to go before managing such a big club like Arsenal, but he would be awesome

Well I look at it more of a if something goes wrong and he does come under fire for whatever reason, Zidane can calm he fire and take some of the attention off of Jose. Zidane will never be anyone puppet, but he can be used as a safety net since ALL Real Madrid fans adore him.

Real Madrid fans are fickle as hell, probably the most fickle in he world and even though most love him right now, if he doesn't win anything that will change. Hell, some circles didn't like Capello or Del Bosque following title wins so anything is possible at Real Madrid.

These are Real Madrid's supporters we are talking about. They are the most fickle supporters on earth. Ultimate manager or not, eventually something will happen to earn their ire.
