Genuinely need some advice. Empty Genuinely need some advice.

Post by Start. Tue Oct 23, 2012 7:58 am

I'm in a awkward position and need a bit of advice because I don't want to make a wrong move.

Basically I believe my Auntie has been taking money off me and my dad.

She has his post office cards and stuff because he's wheelchair bound and forgets things within the space of 10 minutes (Doctors are looking into his illness) so she attempts to get his food in every week and such.

I usually get £70 myself, that's for clothing myself, feeding myself, sixth form etc.

Do I just go and ask her for his post office cards and that without any hesitation and look after him and myself like but knowing she'll say 'No, you're too young' or excuses such as that..

Do I let it continue? Reason I think she's being a bit funny this is because a people that know my Auntie think she's a bit dodgy anyways. Neutral Laughing And recently I got money taken off me for my room Sky bill but we had it cancelled a month ago and I logged into the website and they're is no bill to pay. Neutral

Oh I've not got any other family members I can get in touch with. Not got a clue what to do basically.

I really shouldn't be posting this on here but anyways...

Yes, say that you want to take the responsibility yourself and take care of the father that you love.

Also, confront her about the Sky bill. If she dodges the question or fails to offer a legitimate excuse, you will know that she is being dishonest, at which point you should contact another adult or, if needs be, the police.

    'No, you're too young'

    aren't you 40?

    but seriously

You are gonna have to face her. Tell her whats up, also think about going on Jeremy kyle.

What if she just says no to me asking to taking responsibility? I'm 16, I can't really do anything right?

If she is doing something illegal than go to the police if she says that.

Yeah, you can't really do anything. Lead off with that, wait a few days, then ask about the Sky bill. If she refuses to refund you, then more serious action needs to be taken.

Do what you think is right.

If its bothering you, you shouldn't just let it slide. The best way is to just talk to her.

I know something that could turn my family upside down and destroy my Nan but I've kept it to myself, my Nan has a younger partner, he's about 50 and my nans 75. Bit weird yeah Laughing

Anyone went on his computer when I was about 12 and went to search for some games and it game up with something like "Swinging association" or something, been on my mind whether to tell someone about it but by now it's way too late and no-one would believe me. Ah well.

I'd try and monitor her movements Start, do some DIY work of your own. Being serious try and get in touch with the authorities, they won't mind and if you tell them everything they'll support you.

You should confront her about the Sky bill only. You really have no evidence other than that.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, must be a horrible illness Sad

I'd maybe ask a good friend who might be familiar (npi) with your family situation. But I understand why you posted that here, might be easier anonymously.

Or the people who said your aunt was dodgy, who are they? Can you talk to them?

Confront her, if she says no, get in contact with the police, if she is doing that then she is breaking the law/ I wouldn't feel even a little bit sorry getting a family member in trouble/sent down if they deserved it though. Kinda heartless. silent

Ah thanks a lot guys, helped a lot.

Going to go have a word with my Auntie tomorrow hopefully and confront her about the Sky and if she stutters and fails to come up with a logical answer I'll go further and such.

Confront her, you're likely 16-17? and you're old enough if you want to be, to look after your dad.

When he records it, how will we know it is actually him? He needs to do the trademark "P" hand signal right before he goes in.

If srs, this is honestly the dumbest comment I've seen by anybody not named Jela on this forum. And even in Jela only has two, maybe three, that can top it.
