The Hereford curse lives on!. It's now 11 consecutive games without beating them .Great support and effort from Hereford and our players failed to match their passion. Looking forward to visiting Edgar Street next week for the replay.

Shaun Harrad.
I fucking hate that cunt Barker for loaning him out to Cheltenham as it was clear to everyone that he was much better after having a fully fit pre season.

Re: FA Cup Thread
The opening 3 sentences of the match report from the FA site is the worst journalism I've ever seen
43 years since we last beat Hereford at home and those doesn't look like changing anytime soon!
Hereford will benefit from an FA Cup replay against Chelmsford next week in a bid to settle their Second Round clash and earn a Third Round tie with Everton. We are called "Cheltenham"
The two sides are both facing financial hardships at present, but both put their troubles behind them to fight out a thrilling affair.
We have no financial harship and have made a profit from the last 2 seasons
Cheltenham's ESPN sponsored Man of the Match Harry Pell said: “We came into the game as underdogs and we have had some quite hard times at our place recently. Harry Pell plays for Hereford

Re: FA Cup Thread
3rd round tv games
SATURDAY 5 JANUARY 2013
Brighton & Hove Albion v Newcastle United (12.30) - ITV
West Ham United v Manchester United (5.15) - ITV
SUNDAY 6 JANUARY 2013
Swansea City v Arsenal (1.30) - ESPN
Lincoln City or Mansfield Town v Liverpool (4.00) - ESPN
MONDAY 7 JANUARY 2013
Cheltenham Town or Hereford United v Everton (7.45) - ESPN
Not happy with another monday night game, providing we beat Hereford but £138,500 is up for grabs in tv revenue which would ease any financial worries at Hereford, but would set us up nicely in the January transfer window for a promotion push. A lot at stake here.

The telegraph was bad as well, the other day it said Hereford Town and today it said you were League 1.

It will be massive for both or us but probably more for Hereford than Cheltenham. I reckon Hereford could lose Bowman and Pell in January after ESPN were advertising them all night
Are you going on Tuesday? My dad is going to be there at 9:30 on Thursday to make sure I get a ticket before they sell out, I am not missing out twice

Yeah, I will be there. Won't be getting my ticket until they start selling tickets in the Blackfriars which won't be till we've sold our initial 700 in the side stand. Are you expecting to sell out the home stands? Will be a cracking atmosphere if there's 5000+ and I'm hoping we can take at least 1000 although some fans on our forum are using your poor facilities as a reason not to go! Can't be a local derby with a packed crowd in the fa cup under flood lights, especially with the prize on offer.
Shame we no longer have players like McCann who would have put the likes of Carter and Pack to shame with their "casual" performances. For that reason I think you will beat us as your lads will want it more, as they always do.

He used to play for Scunny, he's a class player. Shame he's got a temper problem.

Re: FA Cup Thread
That's true. Remember when we played Swansea 8 years back. We were 3-1 up and then Trundle scored a hattrick to put Swansea 4-3 up. In the 90th minute Trundle was keeping the ball by the corner flag for about 30 seconds and then McCann came along and kicked him in the back of the leg and was then applauded off the pitch as our fans hated Trundle .

Yeah the Blackfriars end is probably the best away bit although I prefer to be on the side than the ends so I go in the corner of the stand on Edgar Street (level with the edge of the box) so I am still near the Meadow End.
We should sell out either before or on the night. I have heard rumours that the only reason you offered free coaches is to make sure you sell out
When you say poor facilities do you mean the toilets or what? It can't be the food because we have because we have amazing food compared to most(especially the steak and ale pie)but you won't get it in the Blackfriars end as they just park a Burger van in it due to it being barely used.
I thought this was an interesting fact to note, that your chairman was envious of our support on Monday http://bullsnews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/barker-envious-of-hereford-support.html

We only have 6 free coaches which will take around 350 fans and they have all been sold out today. I expect the other 800+ will be making their own way (including me) so the free travel won't make our following that bigger than it otherwise would have been.

A mixture of the poor views and the horrible toilets. They personally don't bother me however. Will go in the pub before hand.

Your support was decent and our terrace behind the goal was packed to the core and rocking at times, but because of the low roof, the sound doesn't travel very well compared to the away stand.

When I went to Edgar Street, we were in like the corner behind the goal. We didn't take that many because Hereford is very far away. It was a terrible view lol.

This is proof that the draw is random rather than somehow being fixed. No one wants to watch this crap but sometimes this is what you get.

Thats why I prefer the sides, behind the goals are only good if you are in the centre
Very excited about tomorrow now

Re: FA Cup Thread
The stadium looks like being a sell out, bar the away end where we will only take around 1000 from 1500. The last times i've been to Edgar street the crowd has only been around 3000 and the atmosphere was decent. Now, with a crowd of 5000+, 1000 away fans and the prize on offer it will be a fantastic occasion.
I take it you've got your frost covers on

You beat us at Edgar Street a few years ago, the record is at Whaddon Road
I must say I was disappointed with the ref. I thought he should have stopped the match after about 50 mins because the visibility was dreadful, I couldn't see across the pitch at time let alone the length of it. He also didn't play the stoppage time after ET or play our corner at the very end.
You will have a better idea than me but from what I have heard from people who have seen replays the penalty was a dive, what do you think?
On a related note if your type the refs name into google you get ratemyref.com which has him as the worst ref and a facebook page called Dean Whitestone is the shittest ref in football
Anyway you probably played the better football throughout the match, congratulations and good luck against Everton, I hope you beat them

I had a great view of the pen incident and I feel there was conduct but McGlashan was looking for it and went down very easily.

Thats what I have heard. From what I have seen of McGlashanin the two games is that he has talent but is too cocky for his own good.
What do you think of the visibility though? It was to blame for our goal I would say

The meadow end was practically invisible by the end of normal time. There was a bit of a goal mouth scramble and no one from our end could see what was happening .
Anyhow, good look for the rest of the season. Hopefully you'll make some money in the FA Trophy and get a trip to Wembley in the process.

That sounds like when we played Accrington a few years ago as about 20 minutes in we could hardly see our keeper who was only just in front of us so we sang Wayne Brown's invisible.
