You're a bit of an amateur in this field aren't you Crump?

First of all, £3k insurance is ridiculous. That's £250 a month, which is way too much for the average 17 year old to be paying on their 1st car tbh. It doesn't have anything about tax in the description, that's £90 straight away you'll put towards it. Nothing in the description about how many miles it's done either which is pretty strange. I personally think its pretty dodgy

£495 is pretty cheap for a 2000 plate Golf. You're probably looking at it having around 120k miles done aswell.

If you want a decent Golf in that model, and similar plate, you're looking at paying about £2-3k for it. Mines an 03 plate and had 65k miles and I paid £2885
