I have a 90 pace LM

Played my first match.. won 2-0 Rosicky with the brace.


Holy fuck.. UT is just so fast. You know how people are talking about pace being important? Well.. it does and it doesnt matter.


It does matter because, well, the entire game is fast. And by entire game I mean.. everyone. So no.. you don't need very very fast players to dribble down the line fast and get through balls.. it's just.. effortless.

That random team I posted in the last page.. beastly. People are sprinting everywhere and passing everyone.

I matched up with a gold team btw.. Rosicky.. 67 speed.. was doing really well to get by players and do work.


Idk though.. I'm not a huge fan.. but the gameplay is lovely. Really fast though..

I believe defenders are more important than anything else. They're really the backbone of the team.

dribbling matters.. and its been fun so far.. Mikel and Barry at the back beasting.. Ramsey, Naismith, and Rosicky doing damage.

But yes.. I'm not so sure a very fast player is needed.. looks like Ruiz from Fulham will be worthwhile!

I'll test out Podolski, etc on the wings after my next match to confirm the pace shit.

What a battle so early in the UT season..
Matched up with a great team.. and the battle was underway.

Kagawa is very underwhelming. Podolski is a beast.. but unfortunately doesn't have 4* skills which would come in handy. A rocket shot and speed like a demon. Love him.

Nasri is a little prick in this game.. definitely a quality force.

Cazorla and Podolski with the link-up play. Podolski with the goal + assist for Garcia.

Adebayor is good. I have no complaints. 4* skills help him. I think I need to keep Kompany.. I need a defensive rock.




One issue I have noticed.. and you all will as well, is that during a deflection or when a ball hits your defender.. your player and your icon won't switch and go get the loose ball.. it just sits there. It's really hard to clear the ball in those situations. Hard to explain.. but you'll see it when it happens. Definitely going to let in a bunch of goals that way, will be raging.

The market is always this horrible at the start, made even worse because of the pack hacking stuff.

SPL/Scottish players become cheap as shit apart from a few IF's. IF Templeton was selling for 260k the first week he came out (a month ago), he was 50k a few days before early release fifa 13.

Anybody who has the patience to wait, will always be rewarded. It's the same every year.

Won 2 4-2-3-1 cards earlier, took the coins, now they're gone.

See I've been told the opposite, that players will become more expensive in a few days when the game comes out for everybody?

See I've been told the opposite, that players will become more expensive in a few days when the game comes out for everybody?

They will, for a week. When everybody gets the game they will be willing to pay anything to build their team. I'm talking about in a couple of weeks, everybody will have their team etc and it will be down to trading. You will pick up rare SPL players for 300 coins and will be able to sell them for 1200 etc, make decent profits. I only started playing Ultimate Team like 2 months before the end, probably played it consistently (fill up trade pile once a night) for one week and made 270,000 profit.

I had never played it before then, it's so easy to pick up as you go along.

Might just try buy him before release and then sell him on in the first couple of days after the game is released

Valencia is shooting up in value, bought two for 9.5k each and he's now 14k. Hopefully I can get upwards of 20 when the game comes out.

It's happened to my Song as well which I put up for auction, despite nobody buying it it's not working. Looked it up and apparently the cards get lost

Could be worse, could be this guy, just seen it on the EA forums
