    This to be honest okay

    But then comes the programming part of 'designing software' and shit hits the fan.

    I can't imagine your English teacher courses(Or whatever) to be that difficult, Dan. Once you crack the grammar lingo in like year 8 then everything that follows is piss easy. I still agree with what you say though; Media related courses are not education, that's why I study graphics, animation and programming all at once.

    Any sort of programming paradigm really Laughing

    Visual Basic
    C++
    Procedural languages such as Java
    Event driven languages
    Object orientated languages

    I don't want to list every language I study to be honest, plus I'm eating so shifty

    You're probably more ready than you think, when I got my internship I felt I didnt know shit, got introduced to so many different things about development I had no idea, came out feeling like a boss. It's amazing how much you learn when you have to learn.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    All that shit of 'if I have to ask I shouldn't be at college' crap? Laughing

    I'm asking people who the majority have done at least one year of college already, if not two, so I was just asking for advice from people who had already been there and which works best. So fuck off.

    Some nice advice there, Dena. In my eyes you are Turk from Scrubs.

    You'll quickly learn what to do and what not to do. Also the obvious things have already been said but taking notes is a big yes yes.

    Revise every night, ask your teachers for textbooks you can borrow or buy and pay attention. Simple rules but very easy to fuck up, if you don't do any you'll end up as another low life in Sixth Form. I've been told it's harder than Uni to work around 3 subjects in the time you are given, but again that wouldn't be the case if you went to somewhere like Cambridge
