Well I know one thing Poland is good for in football, long named teams that are most likely impossible to pronounce for foreigners.

    TS Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała
    Sandecja Nowy Sącz
    GKP Gorzów Wielkopolski
    KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

I probably could go a bit more but will stop here.

Easy? That is interesting... Where I live has a decent Polish population so maybe I should ask some of the older folks about the language.

Ariel Borysiuk is a name in particular people should note of.

He needs to leave for a top league soon, I'd reckon he'd make it at a big club like Arsenal.

    Yes. cheers

Chorzow and Zabrze - We are chasing you in amount of titles! Dance

Shame in a way though, Kinda wanted Jagiellonia to win and gain the funds to build an even better team, though likely they will finish second so long as they don't collapse anyway.

I'd say Wisla, Legia and Lech of season's past first team would survive in the premiership.

Note I say first team because Polish league has 4 less teams thus less fixtures and less of a need to have a bigger squad. Only fair way to compare them.

Bakero is too defensiveminded for Lech Poznan. He was a perfect fit for the Polonia squad, though Wojciechowski is the most fucking idiotic owner I've ever seen.

When we talked after the autumn round of Maaskantem coach, said that the Vistula is divided into several degrees from achieving the style of Barcelona. Looking at it, as mentioned by administration team in a match against GKS Belchatow-I can say that one of these steps was defeated. "I like what I see, but we still have a lot to improve," - commented coach Maaskant.

The Polish Football Thread - Page 9 13031424865712

Satisfaction with instructor caused even look at the stats after Friday's match. "We had this meeting 580 accurate passes. This is by far the best record in the league. For example, I checked the game on the last weekend of Silesia, and they have done about 200 customs applications "- shared his insights coach of the Vistula. Another numerical example of a good positional play off an attack? The action, which ended up with a goal in the 3-1 lasted one and a half minutes, and the White Star players exchanged in the course of 25 passes.

"Wyćwiczenie good positional play attack always takes some time. You can see that the players excel in this respect more and more "- explained Robert Maaskant, and called the next action from Friday's game. "The best example is the situation in the first half, which unfortunately wasted Genkov. It was a great action. GKS had so many players back, and we still were able to continue the action passing from the first ball. If we play like in that situation, it will be hard to stop us "- enjoyed a coach.

Playing positional attack becomes stronger side of the Vistula, and thus makes the team, the White Star difficult to stop by the rivals. "We are not only dangerous in counterattack, which we may very well move out, because we have very fast players, but you can also create opportunities where we have the ball and the opponent's entire team retreated to their half" - said Robert Maaskant. If you add to this that the two goals in a game against GKS Belchatow-I fell after the set pieces, it is clear that the offensive, the White Star could benefit from more and more solutions.

Wisla coach would not be together if not doszukiwał the shortcomings of the game his team. And this time, like after a meeting in Kielce, pointed to the large amount of wasted opportunity. "We played well in positional attack, so we created a lot of situations. Of course, we should score more goals, be more decisive in situations podbramkowych, but I realize that not every opportunity to be converted into a goal. Not that it works. However, we should be more effective. Still we can improve in this regard "- he noted trainer.

But a coach is to continuously improve the game of the Vistula was not discouraged, and even fun and happy. "All the time we are able to improve every aspect of our game. This makes working with this team interesting and motivates other players to continue efforts to improve these elements "- said Robert Maaskant.

From our official site with Google Translate. Razz

    ----------------------------

So this is what Maaskant has been intending to do all along. He wants Wisla Krakow to play Dutch/Barca style football. eek2

Now remembering last night, I can see it, though I was too excited watching the game to realize it back then.

I'm really excited for next season, I can't wait to see Wisla in Europe. I have a strong feeling we can actually go far in Europe.

In addition to our new youth academy being built based on the Dutch system (our sporting director used to work at Feyenoord)...

Could Wisla = The new Barcelona?

Maybe not as great.. but still. Love
